Caught on camera, a mob of young people bombarded the City Stop convenience store on Sunset Road and Pecos Road and stole $600 in merchandise.
"It became a feeding frenzy," said City Stop owner Jon Athey. "They were in the store for three minutes and 30 seconds… It's a pretty scary thing."
Athey says the crowd darted in and snatched numerous items from the store. "Beer to jerky to candy bars to soda, whatever hit their fancy… potato chips," he said.
Athey says this tactic is known as a "swarm". After 42 years in the convenience store business, Athey says this crime stands out.
"This is the biggest one I've ever seen," he said.
If you walk into a convenience store, you expect every move to be recorded on camera. Surveillance cameras in every direction, however, didn't stop this crew.
"Now, you're seeing droves swarming in the front doors - right here - as fast as they can come in," Athey said as he watched the surveillance video. "You can see them milling around by the beer doors. Now, you're going to see them start selecting products they're putting in their coat pockets. They're putting it down their pants."

Exactly the same here in Columbus. Ours is called Easton, and it recently had its first murder (one gangbanger offed another one.)
It’s going to be a hot, conflict filled summer, just you wait. With more downturns, there will be more robberies, break-ins, and more and more assaults. All during the bright light of day.
Absolutely!! Just like the occupant in the White House, they so are not Americans, born here or not.
My parents who came here LEGALLY in the 1950s, after waiting years and years to be admitted, and only needing to come because FDR sold them up the river, were and continue to be greater Americans than all of those riff-raff you mentioned. And they’ve never taken a dime from the social programs (well, aside from the SS that they paid into all of their lives), much less demanded “benefits” and “entitlements.”
It’s just sickening.

That pissed me off when I saw it. These weren’t destitute people, or even hard up. They were well dressed and did this for simple fun.
They should track every single one of them down and prosecute them to the highest extent possible under the law.

I mostly work at home, but for the first time, we got a security system. Too many break-ins around this working class neighborhood.
Apparently there was a shooting at Great Lakes Crossing between two teens from Pontiac, MI. Great Lakes is at Auburn Hills, MI. They’re moving out from the ghetto and turning our malls into their battlegrounds between each other’s gangs.
Just recently a man (black) was potted opening our mailboxes and then closing them. We haven’t gotten mail in a week and it’s likely been happening around the neighborhood as well. I’m living in Waterford and usually crime is barely there because we have an excellent police force.
Every one knows what to do. However, nobody has the will. In fairness, once action is taken the federal government will prosecute those seeking to protect their own lives and property.
If you really think this degradation of civil society in America is all because of a few certain people I don't think you've been paying attention.
There is a big BIG number of people out there, 64,385,746 of whom took the time to vote for Barack Obama who send a clear message every day that says, "If you don't like the law ignore it." It is an example burned in the mantra of hip hop music. It is taught in schools and colleges and it is perpetuated by a significant number of the elected officials making headlines everyday.
Our attorney general gives passes to law breakers based on color. Our President tells ethnic voters they are in a war ...and bring your gun to the knife fight. This stuff isn't just a few certain people and it ain't going away.

The original post was talking about having past the point of no return, not the general degradation of society.
Having past the point of no return is a big deal, and the poster was attributing it to these events which do involve a few certain people.
I agree that individual events only involve a certain number of people. But, the frequency and spread of the events coupled with the overt lack of civility and respect we witness daily indicates a deeper problem.

Oh my..... We had the mailbox thing going on for awhile, we got a locking one finally :(
We have little to no police presence, at least in our part of Tucson. They won’t show up for almost any burglaries — you have to fill out your own paperwork and submit it. I see a squad car in our neighborhood about once every six months.
They put red-light cams up all over our neighborhood — the most conservative and gun-owners live here. Nothing in the actual ghettos, no 24-7 monitoring of their comings and goings. Oh, and foreign plates are exempt.
The Hispanic head of police sides with the La Raza criminals, example after example.
Their faces are recorded on camera.
They will be easy to track down and arrest.
But WILL they be tracked down and arrested for theft?
I’d like to know the end of this story.
