My toilet paper makes me sad (Georgia-Pacific, Koch brothers)
5-11-2011 | me

Posted on 05/11/2011 2:51:26 PM PDT by Mountain Bike Vomit Carnage

Today I was in Costco. As I entered the papergoods area a demonstration woman approached me about a sale on Northern triple ply quilted bathroom tissue.

It's my brand and I strongly support a soft 3 ply, but that's not my point.

The demonstration woman went on to show me on the packaging that Georgia Pacific donates money to the Susan G Komen foundation.

I stopped in my tracks and said " I wish you hadn't told me that. The Susan G Komen Foundation funds Planned Parenthood and Planned Parenthood ( or Planned Barrenhood) is the largest provider of abortions in the United States. I can no longer use my favorite brand of tissue or purchase anything else from Georgia Pacific because I will not allow my money to fund abortion."

She looked at me in disbelief.

Normally I am not outspoken, but I get such a punch in my gut when I am confronted by backdoor funding of something as hideous as a the murder of an inconvenient child that my mouth tends to run away from my brain.

Maybe I gave her something to think about or more likely she thinks that I am a nutcase.

I just wanted you to be informed so you can make the decision on your own if you want to support Planned Parenthood abortions by purchasing Georgia Pacific product.

Interesting, now Georgia Pacific (Koch brothers) is being boycotted by the left and the right. This is one of the companies that the WI union thugs are going after.

What is so sad is that connection between abortion and breast cancer that they conveniently ignore. They donate to an organization that supports and defends something that actually causes the breast cancer that they supposedly fight against.

It’s a money exchange or laundering game. If PP has a yearly mammogram budget which is larger than what it gets that year designated to mammograms, then each donation specifically to mammograms is a piece of money that PP does not have to meet out of its general donations and can and probably will send to its 99% business that eats as much money as it can get... abortions.

I noted in a Planned Parenthood statement that they claim these funds only go for mammograms but how can they really claim that?

(Except that Planned Parenthood doesn't schedule nor do mammograms...but hey, why divert from the PR narrative?)

A toilet paper demonstration woman? They are certainly taking in-store product demos to new levels!

Doesn't matter to me. Being advanced, my body does not create waste.

I can think of one, Chick Fil-A. My favorite fast food restaurant, and by the way their waffle fries beat the ever loving crap out McDonald's greasy string fries!

They have gone on record as being anti-gay and it certainly does not seem to hurt their sales, at least not in my town, there are people always hanging out the doors at lunchtime. Although I find it a little inconvenient, I applaud their corporate philosophy of being closed on Sunday.

From their top banana himself....

"Our decision to close on Sunday was our way of honoring God and directing our attention to things more important than our business. If it took seven days to make a living with a restaurant, then we needed to be in some other line of work. Through the years, I have never wavered from that position.” - S. Truett Cathy

Komen is either colluding or it is getting gypped bigtime by PP. You’d think PP itself would point out where it is doing mammograms (could it be through outsourcing?)

Oh, you can acknowledge that people think differently than you, and still disagree with it. The eager little salesbeaver probably hadn’t even been told about the PP connection with the “wonderful” Susan M. Komen breast cancer research foundation. That’s what Occam’s Razor suggests.

Yes, I can acknowledge that people think differently than me - and so can you. But a liberal cannot, by definition. To a liberal, there are personas (liberals) and non-persons (non-liberals), and that's it.

And as for Occam's Razor, it would have to include the shortest explanation for Obama, too - and the actual behavior of liberals when a non-liberal tries to talk with them.

That's why I stand with my definition - liberals are far, far beyond mere ignorance anymore on anything. They've defaulted to root, and bolted the door. Their ability to dress themselves and go about life comes solely from television programming delivered from recommended shows.

Once you sign up for many sponsored events you are considered legally liable. They will sue or attach your bank account if you default. Be careful what you volunteer for.

That’s what newspaper is for!

Or you can order forms and publications from the IRS made of similar type of paper. Delivered to your home by the postal service at taxpayer expense-—no direct cost to you.

Most PP sites do not do mammograms. They refer to actual medical clinics.

Northern triple ply web site. You might want to E mail them they may not be aware of the political significance of their donations: (contact information is on bottom right of page)
http://archstl.org/respectlife/page/position-statement-susan-g-komen-cure

You may need some evidence in your note/letter. An article stating that every Susan G Gomen donates to Planed Parenthood except Missouri affiliate.
http://archstl.org/respectlife/page/position-statement-susan-g-komen-cure
At this site there are a number of links to Komen’s web site stating they donate to PP.

BTW- Mountain Bike Vomit Carnage has a funny name
