My toilet paper makes me sad (Georgia-Pacific, Koch brothers)
5-11-2011 | me

Posted on 05/11/2011 2:51:26 PM PDT by Mountain Bike Vomit Carnage

Today I was in Costco. As I entered the papergoods area a demonstration woman approached me about a sale on Northern triple ply quilted bathroom tissue.

It's my brand and I strongly support a soft 3 ply, but that's not my point.

The demonstration woman went on to show me on the packaging that Georgia Pacific donates money to the Susan G Komen foundation.

I stopped in my tracks and said " I wish you hadn't told me that. The Susan G Komen Foundation funds Planned Parenthood and Planned Parenthood ( or Planned Barrenhood) is the largest provider of abortions in the United States. I can no longer use my favorite brand of tissue or purchase anything else from Georgia Pacific because I will not allow my money to fund abortion."

She looked at me in disbelief.

Normally I am not outspoken, but I get such a punch in my gut when I am confronted by backdoor funding of something as hideous as a the murder of an inconvenient child that my mouth tends to run away from my brain.

Maybe I gave her something to think about or more likely she thinks that I am a nutcase.

I just wanted you to be informed so you can make the decision on your own if you want to support Planned Parenthood abortions by purchasing Georgia Pacific product.

Who uses toilet paper?

That’s what newspaper is for!

I don’t understand why any corporation would contribute to anything that even approaches controversial. And...why isn’t that corporation contributing excess monies back to their stockholders?

That abortion outfit is only contributing to a lack of future paper consumers.

"Susan G Komen Foundation funds Planned Parenthood"

I hear you on that. My wife is doing a 60 mile walk-a-thon for something and has to raise 1500 bucks for her and her teammates to participate. I donated 300 to the entry website (as a good husband should), and then it happened. I received an email from the Susan G Komen Foundation, thanking me for my donation. I told my wife, and she didn't know they contributed to PP. She is still signed up for it, but is not happy. Won't do it again...

I have to keep questioning why an organization which is purportedly against breast cancer supports a group whose policy of abortion might be a significant factor in breast cancer...so much for rationality and logic...

The unfortunate part of this story is that you just about have to live in the woods and be entirely cut-off from civilization NOT to spend money with companies that support some of these causes. The liberals have been entirely successful in hiding their true intentions and extorting money from just about every company out there.

And before I'm bombarded with, “Oh yea, well so and so doesn't” - yes, there are still a few decent companies around. But if you think of the hundreds of products the average American buys every year, it is virtually impossible not to spend money with stinkers.

She looked at me in disbelief.

This is the foundation of liberalism - rock-solid denial of the very existence of any other way of thinking.

A liberals position on anything doesn't matter to them at all, and they laugh at anyone who actually cares about anything personally.

The only thing that matters to a liberal is group loyalty.

Positions come, positions go, but group loyalty is, literally, reality to them.

So when you rejected Georgia Pacific on abortion grounds to the liberal woman, she didn't look at you in disbelief because she disagreed with you.

No.

She looked at you in disbelief because, in a matter of seconds...

...you ceased to exist to her.

Literally.

No, the ink rubs off.

Use the Koran instead. The ink is usually pretty stable.

Of course, you could always use leaves from the trees, like our ancestors did.

Or you could do the muzzie thing and use your left hand.

Most of these corporations fund all kind of stupid crap. Chances are few of their shareholders would approve of 99% of it. Wonder what kind of contributions GP makes to religious establishments?

I thought it was the other way around ...

I don’t think Komen supports Planned Parenthood, I think Planned Parenthood supports Komen.

But, I’ve been wrong before.
