As if Pink Floyd fans didnt have enough to celebrate this week, Roger Waters and David Gilmour reunited in London on Thursday night for a performance of The Walls Comfortably Numb. The news was first revealed on Gilmours blog, which added that the performance is most definitely a one-off; David is not repeating his special guest performance at a later occasion, Im sorry to disappoint those of you with fingers crossed and tickets for later shows. Dont get too bummed out, though, as the performance was being filmed so that it may be posted on various websites.
Two videos of tonights performance at the link.
This is going to be a real scary thread boys and girls
Floyd made some good music, but is was not as good as the albums.....impossible to recreate. I will be happy with old copies myself
Dave Gilmour championed Kate Bush´s rise in the 80s. Present at the creation, as it were.
I got goosebumps seeing Gilmour and Wright (RIP) do ‘Echoes’ in its’ entirety during the “On An Island” Tour.
I never knew the hatred Gilmour has for Waters until I watched some Pink Floyd documentaries on Netflix. Despise, is probably to kind of a word for it, especially for what Waters did to Wright just added to it.
Some of my favorite Gilmour work was when he backed Pete Townshend on the “White City” tour, especially on the song “Give Blood.” Now you talk about a “We’re Not Worthy” pairing right there.
Joan Jettâs âfetishâ would be a big hit amongst this community... Or maybe not so much...
Tis music to my ears for sure. As Gilmour once said. It’s not the note you play that count, it’s the ones you don’t.
I own this album.
I have a friend who follows Floyd like they are Jesus Christ incarnate. Seriously...
