The last “indoor” concert I saw was Little Feet at The Grand in the Hotel DuPont when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant. Marshall Tucker was the opening act for that. I saw MT again at an open air function a couple years ago, but that was covered by the cost of the ticket to the Annual Seafood Festival on Chincoteague.
I remember the free concerts they used to have in the “sheep meadow” of Central Park. I saw the Beach Boys one year and Elton John another.
coolbreeze had a hoot reading this thread over my shoulder, but I’ve got to get off here now.........the youth group is having a sleep over at Church tonight and I need to get Jax off the computer and into the shower because she is supposed to be at Church in less than an hour......

That was my first thought. Imagine a daughter trying to live up to the mother's standards (well, you know what I mean). The mother always taking the spotlight. Having boyfriends over and there's mom in all her sluttiness prancing around in see-through nothings. It's enough to mess up any young girl.

Getting her put together was actually an easy thing, I was impressed. She was the first one to arrive at church. Only one other of the kids had arrived by the time coolbreeze helped the pastor set up all the video/computer stuff and we were leaving. Of course that kid had to be the one that Jax wants nothing to do with and in her words “creeps” her out.
When I got back there 20 minutes later to bring what she had “forgot” I was happy to see a few other kids there, and the male chaperone. The Pastor had asked if coolbreeze could do it, but he’s on call this weekend and so couldn’t do it.
I hope they have a great evening. I picked up some of the youth-group gossip while I was waiting in our parking lot with Bill and Tom (and James and Vlad). Turns out a young man Anoreth once kind of liked, because he was as smart as her and also short, is dating a girl I taught in 5th grade. She’s taller than he is ... but very nice.
