Creepy, Crusty, Crumbling: Illegal Tour of Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans
Love These Pics ^ | 5/19/11

Like little kids, we all experience a happy rush, a delighted thrill, when going to play at an amusement park. Yet when an amusement park is abandoned and an eerie silence settles over the rusty and crusty decay, the setting seems to twist the atmosphere of enthusiastic excitement into a suffocating blanket of dread. The place takes on creepy vibes and freaks people out. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and ripped the heart of fun and the amusement out of this park. Almost six years later, Six Flags in New Orleans is unnaturally silent, no lines and no laughter. This 140-acre surreal setting has morphed into a nightmarish land of twisted dreams.

Not personally. That is a Nassau county politician (Suozzi?) with a child. But I chose that one because I remember I would always choose the horses with the roses in the mane. There were only a few of those, and every one is painted and posed different. Aren’t they beautiful?

Every horse was different, with real tails. Choosing the “right” horse was one of the great pleasures for a little girl.

Oh by the way, if you check post 58, underneath, there is a gallery of many of the horses.

They are beautiful. And yes, your childhood was blessed with sweet memories. Thanks for sharing.

“Politically correct’’? According to who’s politics? Political correctness is cultural Marxism. I’m not a Marxist.

>>Political correctness is cultural Marxism. I’m not a Marxist.<<

I’d like to see you use that as your tagline. Lots of FReepers have no idea about the truth. They want to be polite and not raise a fuss.

Thanks, I’ll consider using that for a tag line but is that a difficult thing to do? I’m not exactly a computer whiz here and someone told me changing a tag line can be problematic.

Allowing Islam into America is akin to injecting yourself with AIDS to prove how tolerant you are..

Copy my tagline and paste it over yours.

You are going to have to take the apostrophe out.
