Want to purchase a Saiga 7.62X39. Any reason I shouldn't? (vanity)

I've been wanting to get a AK pattern rifle for quite awhile. Got a generous tax return and am looking at the Saiga 7.62X39 that JG Sales is offering right now for $349.00.

I’m interested in the cartridge. Relatively cheap and good stopping power.

Wish I could get them at those prices today. With the possibility of high inflation on the horizon I want to get at least one locked down before that may occur.

Sounds like a good time.

Nothing is better than being in a wall tent with guys who don't shower for a week.

The place is so remote the deer don't know what a human is and will flush maybe 10-20 feet in front of you.

Rounds downrange = meat in freezer.

That's a Saiga that has been imported and reconfigured to AK appearance by a company called Arsenal that's out of Las Vegas. They replace an ugly monte carlo stock and all the other furniture, add the pistol grip, re-locate the trigger group to its correct location, add the AK-74 style muzzle brake, and make the gun able to use standard AK mags.

I have one, and it is a very nice AK variant. The one pictured is model SGL-21/61 and has an MSRP of $799.

very good price. soon as you get it I urge you to look into converting it to look like an ak-47 with the proper furniture for it and so it can accept real AK magazines.
