A new ad for Cadbury chocolate is leaving a bitter taste with Naomi Campbell. The supermodel is looking at "every option available," including legal action, in response to a promotion that compares the celebrity to a Dairy Milk Bliss bar.
The ad reads, "Move over Naomi, there's a new diva in town," and shows the candy bar nestled in diamonds. The campaign ran in supermarkets and newspapers in the U.K.
Campbell told the U.K. newspaper the Independent, "I am shocked. It's upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humor in this. It is insulting and hurtful."
The star, who has been the center of controversies in the past (forced community service for hurling a cellphone at her maid comes to mind), is this time being backed by the British organization Operation Black Vote. The group called on the U.S. company Kraft, which owns Cadbury, to apologize and is considering a boycott of the company's products. Worse, Naomi's mom is mad.

Which racial group's modern-day cultural representatives repeatedly refer to their own race as "n*****z" in lyrics? Who refers to New Orleans as "Chocolate City"? Come on. Sheesh. Grow up, supermodel.

Naomi must have been truly outraged when Mayor Nagin of New Orleans referred to the place as a “chocolate city”. That was definitely racist of him, no?
About as absurd as if she sued Campbell’s soup for infringement of her ‘brand’.

Campbell needs to back off from antagonizing a powerful industry giant like Cadbury. She makes them too mad, they just might snatch her bald headed! ;-)
I’d compare her to a different brown substance.
Besides, I really like cadbury bars (esp. their raisin and almond milk chocoalte bar) so I am rooting for them.
I’m a chocaholic. Cadbury is like a fine wine to one like me. I keep a box of Reece’s Fast Break and a box Snicker’s Squares in the pantry. I have recipes that feature chocolate in many venues. ... Have you ever dipped Sugar Snap Peas in milk chocolate? clip the ends, flash boil the pods, then cool with ice and dip them in melted milk chocolate. Tricks works with lots of things, even a pretty woman ... just don’t boil her before dipping.
Naomi may smack them around with a phone or boot.
Fast Breaks are pretty decent...I miss Bar Nones and Alpine Whites . :-( Remember those? Seems like every candy bar I’ve ever really liked winds up being discontinued -I am the Grim Reaper of confections. Right now my favorite is the Lindt white chocolate truffle, so be warned and stock up, if you like them too.
You have no doubt heard of Junior Mints. Did you know they also make a Junior Caramels? ... Yeah, they are that good ... caramel surrounded by a ball of milk chocolate. But they are not as ‘sticky’ as the one sold in movie theaters (Milk Duds). The caramel is infused with a fiber agent so it doesn’t get stuck in your teeth. Sadly, apparently we Americans like picking caramel from between our teeth!
