Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov's maternal grandfather was born a Jew and converted to Russian Orthodoxy. Thus Lenin was 3 generations away from actual Jews, and 2 generations from someone who cut himself off from said community. Antisemites have been trying to make this an issue for 100 years. BFD. No one cared that he is part Kalmyk and a petty noble because it was not relevant to his beliefs. The same is true for the religion his grandfather disdained.

And 20% to 25% of the population of Spain.
The headlines for that story were wrong. 20-25% of Spaniards have a hapolotype found among Jews, Samaritans, and Levantine Arabs. Considering that the Belaric Islands and parts of Spain were Phonecian and Cartheginian colonies, this is to be expected.

Other western European nations probably not being much different if anyone did the tests.
A fair number of Ruthenians/Ukrainians carry otherwise Jewish genes.

Antisemites have been trying to make this an issue for 100 years.

Likely the origin of the Rothschild story. Yet Stalin apparently wanted it to not be an issue so to further his political goals.

Look at the comments section in the original article, its a hate fest of Antisemitic, Anti Israel commentary and rants.

I wonder why they chose to publish a story on a well known fact only to further incite and inflame the public opinion against Israel.

I'm usually wary of such 'well known facts' cuz people make up stuff like this to further their agendas.

The article you link to, 2ndDivisionVet, does not show that Hitler had any Jewish ancestry. It merely throws out that out as a possibility.

It makes for interesting conversation and speculation, but nothing beyond that.

Regarding King David,

I did a little study of Absalom, the long-haired son who rebelled against David and caused him so much grief. Interestingly enough, Absalom’s MOTHER was a Canaanite princess, hence, he was not Jewish—part of the reason which explains why his younger half-brother Solomon was heir to the throne—and also part of the reason that explains his rebellious and violent behavior...

King’s were SPECIFICALLY warned against marrying pagan wives...and David’s disobedience in this (likely to seal a peace treaty or something) ultimately resulted in the death of 4 sons of David (about the worst thing that could happen to a patriarch in the Ancient Near-East) due to a severely dysfunctional family...

Interesting; I’d never made the connection.
