A local business is currently being raided for what the Department of Defense tells WSAZ.com is a multi-million dollar billing fraud investigation.

COAL GROVE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two local business are currently being raided for what the investigators on the scene tell WSAZ.com is a multi-million dollar billing fraud investigation.

40 local, state and federal agencies are involved in a raid at Dr. Peter Tsai's Medical Office and the Watkins-Tsai Imaging Center in Coal Grove. Click here to find out more!

The two businesses are located just off US 52 at the Coal Grove exit on Marion Pike.

Investigators tell WSAZ.com this is a multi-million dollar state and federal billing fraud investigation.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless tells WSAZ.com that Dr. Peter Tsai's parents own the imaging center next door to his office. He tells WSAZ.com that they are believed to be responsible for more cat scans since 2008 than any other office in the nation.

Lawless also tells WSAZ.com that some patients have received 120 to 140 cat scans in a two-year time frame.

We have a crew on the scene. Keep clicking on WSAZ.com for the latest information.

So the Department of Defense now investigates medical billing fraud?

What, was the Department of Education SWAT team too busy to handle this one?

Maybe they were billing the military.

In this case, CAT must stand for "Corruption At Tsai's"...

The only reason I can figure the DoD is involved is because it might be TriCare related?

I hope not... But it’s hard to say in this day and age...

Maybe they were providing VA services and bilking the military.

Just the tip of the iceburg. I would venture to say that a majority of the medical billing to the gubmint has fraud in it. Also all those nice hospice services. Check them out... they are the worst. They hide behind serving the terminally ill and bilk the gubmint out of millions.

A private business would have caught this after the 2nd or third repetitive bill.

Our underpayed Federal employees figured it out after 120+.

Not raided by DOD, but was probably fraud in billing DOD Tri-Care

Equal to whatever billing fraud is found, would be the fact 40 agencies are involved with the raids.

It’s a shame DOD didn’t do an investigation of the VA and insurance companies when it came out they were stealing the death insurance benefits from veterans. But I’m sure they care anyway—care they got caught?

Don't be too sure. My lawyer nephew recently joined the Inspector General's office of our state health and human services department. They investigate Medicare fraud. He's disgusted at the sloth in that department. Attorneys sleeping at their desks, little-to-no real investigations underway. It's a bunch of libs collecting their state salaries. He's now thinking of moving out of state.

Don't expect much from anyone in public service.

FORTY AGENCIES were needed for this bust?

F-O-R-T-Y....?

It’s a scandal that 40 agencies exist for ALL puposes combined.

Is THIS what our forefathers had in mind, when thinking of limited government..?

The problem is NOT Dr. Tsai, it’s not even that cryto socialist medicine exists —it’s that we TOLERATE this explosion in government.

FORTY AGENCIES showed up for this show..!!

40..!!!

Before congressional aides started napping on their desks, when a study came out showing massive fraud, there were congressional hearings and panic and misery for lazy bureaucrats. No more. Everyone is napping.

The billing errors occurred from a software glitch on Tsai’s computer.
Its all a misunderstanding . . .

Just take the Willis Bridge over from Ashland and you're right there! But you'll have to take the Williamson Bridge back to Kentucky.
