Back in the 60’s (62 I think) it snowed a little bit on the 4th of July in N. Mn. Stinky summer that.

Bush has nothing to do with this. It’s Dick Cheney’s Halliburton machine that’s causing damage.

late-winter snowstorms

July isn't "late winter" anywhere on this planet.

even the Obama administration is admitting it’s getting cooler not warmer. from official US Gov website:

” Cooling degree-days during 2011 are assumed to be 14 percent lower than last year, “

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2740366/posts?page=40#40

satellites show it’s been getting cooler since at least 2003.
and i was reading stuff by Russian astrophysicists back then, who were already predicted a coming “mini-ice age”,
like the Maunder Minimum, due solely to decreased solar output.

AGW is a total hoax. NASA has been caught fudging data more than once, to “hide the decline”.

I don’t think they’re predicting new snow on 7/4 — just that lots of it’ll still be around then. The story definitely doesn’t make that clear, though.

I went on a NOLS course in the Wind River Range back in 1978. The instructors told us there were two seasons in the Winds - winter and the 4th of July.

It snowed on the 4th of July.

Mammoth Mountain, California ski report 6.30.2011

Today’s Report

The sun is out this morning and Mammoth received a dusting of new snow yesterday! We currently have a base depth of 3-8 feet of snow and are open top to bottom out of the Main Lodge.
