Everything about her comes off phony. Maybe some TRU TV hosts think she is credible, but I believe people like us react more like the jury is thinking.
I notice attorneys quite often lose the ability to see people for who they really are.

Yep, Ashton does not seem the type to do anything but cross all T’s and dot all the I’s.
It may well be that Casey’s defense team pointed out to Casey that if she testifies, it better be good, because this guy won’t cut you any slack. He will go after you on every issue that isn’t verified or seems out of synch.

The best you can hope for is a hung jury. The odds of a not guilty verdict are extremely small and would require jurors to ignore all evidence put on by the state.
My verdict is somewhere between felony murder (the 2nd choice) and aggravated manslaughter. While it is true the defense is under NO obligation to prove anything, they set THEMSELVES a very high bar- the state did not force them to come up with the absurd theory they chose. Having done so, they are now obligated to bring at least some EVIDENCE to support their theory OR else the judge CANNOT allow Baez to use his theory in closing as it now assumes facts NOT IN EVIDENCE.
My sense is that Casey came up with this theory and for whatever deluded reasons we can only guess at, Baez went along. HAD he chosen the more common simple “reasonable doubt” defense, we might well be looking at a different outcome- though we can’t be sure.
Casey and Baez put themselves in this corner- you can’t fault the state for exploiting it..

I know people seem to act like they hate George, but I actually feel kind of sorry for him.
I am sure Cindy isn’t an easy woman to live with. LOL
I ask you. If Baez is so bad and his case sucked and Ashton is the 2nd coming with a perfect case. Why the extensive rebuttal of all of Baez horrible experts and evidence? My opinion is that Ashton knows he is losing and so does the so called impartial Judge.

I’ve been very impressed with the prosecution team - they are sharp and professional. Baez has stuttered hoping to find something to say and had to consult with the big kids at his table more than he should have.

The jurors actually listened and are not subject to “lets make it all up in order to free little Mommy Dearest”.
That is about all Baez had. Want to know why? Because his client is guilty and he had to fabricate a defense.
He offered no compelling argument to prove anyone but Casey is guilty of her murder.

If Cindy takes the 5th over her work timesheet, it is not going to look bad for the State, I can assure you. Why would George take the 5th? Because of the affair? Don’t know if you saw/heard this, but several weeks ago Geraldo claimed that Miranda rights were not administered properly and that will affect the outcome.
Anyone else recall this, as I haven’t heard him restate that.
In any case his ego is a big as his head............
