I like your optimism, but for all your confidence, then why can’t South Carolina get rid of that idiot Lindsay Gramnesty?

You do know who Graham's Campaign Chairman in 2008 was don't you?

How can he move up in a Senate that is completely controlled by moderates and RINOs. He needs a base of support to move up. That is what he is doing. He is building a base of support.

It would be a hell of alot easier for him to build support if he at least made an attempt at the Republican Senatorial committee which is headed by john Cornyn.

Its been allowed to be run by Rinos who seek to get more Rinos. That job, is the key to getting conservatives elected, not sidestepped, if he could have at least made an attempt to fight for that job, it could have sent a message, that there will be a battle for each RINO that the GOP attempts to import.

No, I sure don’t know who Chaired Graham’s 2008 reelection campaign. I hope it doesn’t scare me to find out.

Your political savvy is better than mine. I wish Conservatives would overtake all of the GOP leadership, but the leadership is going to fight back hard. I don’t any solution except to elect more tea party candidates and give them longevity - then Conservatives would have the support they need to have key leadership positions. As long as the RINOs dominate the party, I just don’t see that changing. The voters are idiots with the GOP voters electing RINOs and the Dem voters electing outright communists. We are being back-stabbed by our fellow voters.

Here's the thing about electing more conservatives, they need to get pass the primaries first, which would sound easy enough, but the way the Republican Senatorial Committee has it, its quite difficult.

The RSC recruits candidates to run (often, RINO's), then funds and supports them (and if a true conservative also chooses to run, he is at the disadvantage against the "establishment" candidate who gets the partys "incumbent" treatment). With the party essentially working against the conservative candidate, it discourages true conservatives, and when they run, punishes them.

If a true conservative manages to win the primary (no small task), talking points of painting said conservative as being a nut job have been established (with the additional credibility of having come from the GOP in the first place), which are then used in the general election by the democrats (and allies in the media).

In the face of all these overwhelming odds, the tea party has still managed to elect conservatives to the senate (which says alot about the power of the grassroots). If the Jim DeMint had taken over this committee (and John Cornyn has had it pretty much handed to him), he could have cultivated the base, recruited, and supported true conservatives and eased the difficulty they have.

Even running and losing, would have put pressure on Cornyn to at least try for more conservative candidates or watch his step when dealing with true conservatives, as opposed to punishing them. Keep in mind, that DeMint has now stated that he will NOT seek to oust incumbent republican senators via primaries, meaning getting true conservatives elected via challenging democrats or via open seats is now the only way. Thats why that job is so important, if you control the farm system, you control what type of product comes out of it.

“DeMint Endorses Graham
October 18th, 2007 | WILL SERVE AS CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIR

Big news from the re-election campaign of Sen. Lindsey Graham:

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham’s re-election campaign today announced that fellow Senator Jim DeMint has endorsed Graham and agreed to serve as a Co-Chairman of his campaign.

“Lindsey Graham is a true leader who has fought to strengthen our military, protect the sanctity of life, and keep taxes low,” said DeMint. “His devotion to and for our men and women in uniform is evident each and every day he serves in the U.S. Senate. He knows that the battles we face against radical Islamic terrorists threaten our very freedoms and prosperity.”

You know Palin endorsed McLame, don’t you?

Should I quit supporting Palin because she did one thing I think is stupid and I don’t understand why she did it? Is that what you are asking me to do? And DeMint for Gramnesty?

I have enormous respect and admiration for both Palin and DeMint. I don’t pretend to agree with every single move they make and I have no clue what they gain for it. Sometimes you have to lose a rook to get a queen.

I didn’t say anything about supporting anyone, I merely asked you if you knew who was Graham’s Party chairman.

The vice presidential candidate endorsing the presidential candidate for his Senate reelection is totally different, can you imagine the effect on 2010, if the republican presidential ticket had turned on itself?

Do you happen to know who helped lead the then Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney to run for President, and who led his exploratory committee, and was then Mitt Romney’s national Party Chairman in 2008?

No I don’t, and your beginning to play 20 questions is starting to both confuse and annoy me.

If you have a point, please tell me straight. Right now I’m baffled what you are trying to tel me.

Oh, and HAPPY 4th of JULY! I’ve got to get back to the BBQ. Enjoy your independence. We are still a free nation! Thank God.

While I admire DeMint, I disagree with him here. Lindsey Graham is a disaster for this country.

I’m more worried about DeMint and Romney, see post 28.
