Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.
Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
Hello FRiends.
Good morning, and thanks for your efforts in these threads.
Justice for Caylee.
I hope Judge Perry lives up to his reputation as a tough judge...the rumor is seven more months. We can only hope.
Oh man here we go..just wait till retired greyhound wakes up.. where’s screaminsunshine?
I say let her go now. Let the jurors who found her not guilty see her walk.
let her run back to her lying parents.
No one will want to hear their schtick today. They’re lucky we believe so strongly in free speech. I recommend putting them on IGNORE for the proceedings, if possible.
I wish FR had a block feature heh.
2 more years in jail. If the Judge is consistent in his strict sentencing.
It is my understanding that Casey has been in jail for these three years serving a check kiting sentence, which has nothing to do with “holding” her for the trial. This “time served” should have nothing to do with the sentence about to be imposed for what she was found guilty for on Tuesday. Has anyone else heard this?
I saw a clip of Juror #3 on the news this morning sounding defensive. She struck me as a true airhead and had the reasoning ability of a child. Plainly the jury was trying George, not Casey Anthony. Appalling.
You’ll probably finding her parents still making sure the new locks on their doors are properly installed, and that all the windows are locked down with pryproof steel latches.
The public is outraged. The debate is as furious as after OJ. My son (atty) is in agreement with the jury and we are having a Face Book "war" over the outcome. I remember having discussions with my dad as he thought OJ was innocent (he was a big football fan and really didn't like thinking someone he cheered for could be so cruel.
I just saw a sign outside the courtroom that had a picture of Casey with duct tape over her mouth (tv). That pretty much says it all...
The flight story? Supposedly a juror is leaving on a cruise or something. Since Casey has anywhere from 7months (min) or 12 years (max) to go on her convictions for lies, I doubt she’d book a flight.
I saw that too. Yes! I thought the same thing! A Simpleton!
I’d like to see the judge charge her with the city’s costs in hunting Caylee. Also here in Alachua County they charge prisoners some kind of daily fee for being jailed, a few bucks a day or something. The judge cracked me up when he lectured and sentenced the kid.
Sounds so far that the jurors fell for the defense’s crap. Heard George is filing a complaint with the Florida Bar for the dude lying.
Wow, more coffee, html...not working.....over.
As tragic as this case is....A criminal trial is not about “justice for the victim”.
See Allan Dershowitz article clarifying out legal system:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303544604576429783247016492.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
He points out that our western justice system is founded on the story of Abraham who admonishes God to wipe away all of Sodom, the innocent with the guilty. God says if I find 10 righteous, I will not destroy Sodom...then God does not find the 10 innocent and destroys Sodom. That is where we get our moral code , “Better to let 10 guilty go free than condemn one innocent.”
Dershowitz says, “A legally proper resultacquittal in such a casemay not be the same as a morally just result. In such a case, justice has not been done to the victim, but the law has prevailed. “
I do feel Casey should be given the maximum for lying to the police, of which she was found guilty.
What the jurors were left with was a series of assertions by various people about this or that. Alas, they were unable to think about any of it ~ and as the two jurors who have spoken have let us know ~ none of them were very smart anyway.
Good morning, truth...
I, too, wish to thank you for these threads - especially for this case in which reason seems to have left the room.
It reminds of the way I feel when people say Barbara Streisand or Bob Dylan is a good singer - I just DON’T get it! :-) (Stsnding by for flames!!!)
Great to have an outlet to vent...
I agree...the jury was definately against George...and all the jurors who've publically spoken speak of George. It's beyond appauling... Going to work now so will miss the sentencing...Will check after 2:30 today when back home.
I saw the sign with duct tape over her mouth and nose as well. It said a lot with one sign! I wonder if they don’t sentence her to some time to “protect her”. Then they will release her in the middle of the night after the parents made new living arrangements. Just a thought.

Yes, 50 years of moral relativism come to fruition.
But hey, "the system worked."
Not true. The court asked them to leave early, a sheriff spoke to them and told them it was time,to try to get them out ahead of the media and crowds.
You gotta listen to the tot mom show to get ALL the scoop, lol...
What time is the sentencing?
Look up O.J. on Wiki and you will see what a thug he was and is. Only 6 more years to go O.J. LOL I think Casey is well on her way to surpass O.J.
The defense attorney said it best. “she is a lying slut.”
Maybe they are in the bar with the defense team, high five-in’ it and knockin’ back a few more...
Such a big win for justice - not!
Did you see that Juror #3 complaining about George not seeming to tell the truth? W T F!!!!!! What does that have to do with the matter at hand, the guilt or non-guilt of Casey? She was punitive toward the prosecutor because George was a prosecution witness. DISGUSTING! the way these jurors reasoned - and I use “reasoned” very lightly!
Did you see the one that said "Bella Vida?"
Anthony’s look chipper.
George may have been the “reasonable doubt” for the jury.
I think it is appalling to denounce the jurors. We still need to show respect for the jury system....unless we want a different system. You may not agree with them or their verdict but to start personal attacks on them is not right.
Thank you for informing me regarding that.
Who is there to speak for Caylee? Poor baby.
My impression was that towards the end George was sick of the defense. They have been through hell.
I have to stir it up here. I don’t think you can hold parents responsible for grown kid’s behavior though people like to blame Cindy. There are genetics in play. I also wonder if Casey fried her brain on drugs.
She was sentenced for passing a bad check. I think she stole a check from her grandmother and passed it and got caught. So she’s been serving time for that.
Exactly - if I read right, she’s saying that even though the defense told them Casey was a liar, irresponsible, etc., the bloody woman said they didn’t believe GEORGE and that poor, pitiful Casey was a product of a dysfunctional family blah, blah, blah...who isn’t????? Sheesh...
No matter what these jurors say....they have ‘evidenced ‘ that clearly they had determined they would make their decision according to George’s testimnony.....Casey was not on trial in their minds, George was....just too awful beyond words.
Further they had zip ability for critical thinking and didn’t even try....never once asked for or questioned any of the evidence....over 300 pieces of evidence and 9o witnesses and not a peep from the jurors about these.
Worse than a shame...a tragedy.
"Surprise, surprise."
It looks like a different Casey today! No dowdy Casey to impress the jury today!
They missed the whole concept of circumstantial evidence.
Scott Peterson was convicted and there was no evidence of how, when or where Lacey died.
Please note that a jury has NEVER been imported from another county for a local crime. It was done by the judge. I'm calling a rigged jury.
Streisand is the only actor/actress my husband will NOT watch because of her politics.
“Surprise, surprise!” LOL! WHERE DA PARTY AT!
If it had a flower on the sign, I saw it. I was so focused on the Casey one that I wasn't looking at the others.
Well, Miss Thing is in the courtroom with her hair down. She look so smug! She has got to be the happiest person in the world.
I need to go take some Tums!
