Barf alert. Snooze alert......
I started to watch the replacement FOX show which fills the time slot of Glenn Beck.
There is a panel of five talking heads sitting around a table. One of the talking heads is Democrat Bob Beckel.
What a joke.
I might as well watch the Obmama network MSNBC.

Its no secret that today is Glenn Becks last day on the Fox News Channel. Hell sign off at 6 pm and begin his own online network called GBTV. And ever since he announced he was leaving his daily program on the top-rated cable network, rumors have swirled about who would replace him in the 5 pm slot. Now, we have an answer. And it involves multiple people.
The network announced that it will fill Becks slot with an ensemble program featuring a roundtable of rotating Fox personalities. Those include Greg Gutfeld, Juan Williams, Dana Perino, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Geraldo Rivera, Andrea Tantaros, Eric Bolling, Monica Crowley, Bob Beckel and Kimberly Guilfoyle.
The new show, which is a temporary summer replacement for Beck, will launch July 11.

Is Gutfeld cracking wise or is he playing this like a series news program?
FNC wants a liberal star they can throw in peoples faces.
I saw Bob Beckel and immediately shut the TV off. I wanted DNC talking points I could watch other stations.
I agree 100% As soon as I saw that slob, the channel was changed.
Frankly, as much as I think Beck was a harbinger of a very dire threat, his demeanor between the show (ominous) and radio (idiotic banter with cohosts) is perplexing. I believe he’s burnt out and searching. There is something not right about him, regardless of whatever insight he has.
I love Gutfield and this show has promise. I’m so glad they got rid of Beck. His faux philosophic-religious/conspiracy kick had me flicking to FBN as fast as I could get to the remote.
Dana Perrino and Greg Gutfield make Beckel *almost* bearable.
Very well put. I used to enjoy his radio show until he got too preachy there, several years before his Fox show. I like the Beck that would appear with O’Reilly - he was almost enjoyable there, but the doom and gloom stuff he had on his own show was just weird. True to a degree, but carried to the extreme.
I’m watching Pawn Star reruns on the History channel.
Chumley is more intelligent than any of the liberals on the 5
I can’t stand any of these shows where all the jerks have to talk at the same time.
I do love Dana Perino though.
Beckle is as bad as Alan Colmes. He says the most idiotic crap. He is actually comparing the tax exempt status of Media Matters to the NRA. Wow. What a d!ck.
All part of the ongoing liberalization of Fox. It happens to all of them eventually. I don’t watch it anymore anyway, so who cares.
Well , they will lose viewers.
They need Michelle Malkin.
Well , they will lose viewers.
They need Michelle Malkin.
Well , they will lose viewers.
They need Michelle Malkin.
I will stick with The Willis Report on FOX Business in the same time slot and actually learn something useful.
Gutfeld should stick to his clown show overnight.
Beckel’s gravitational pull is so great that he really weighs down the others, regardless of how good they are.
Whenever I see or hear Colmes on O’Reilly the TV is changed to another channel.
That’d better come up with something better than this our they are going to lose that time slot. I’d rather watch Juan Williams. I don’t agree with him many of the times, but, at least he’s honest and an all around nice guy.
Just a lot of of political punch lines so far. Dana Perrino is the only one who has added substance to the comments so far. Morning Joe without the caffeine or the far, far, left.
snoooooooooooooozzzzzzzzz so far.
I can add this much. Pat Gray was my local morning talk jock. As you know, Glenn calls him “my best friend” and shoots the bull with him etc. Very funny guy. So, he announces he’s quitting to go work with Glenn in New York, because he thinks Glenn is getting dangerously burnt out. He said he was going for the purpose of taking some of the heat off and making the show more fun. That’s why it seems like Glenn, Stu and Pat are so silly.
Dana Perino is attractive and smart, but she has no personality. She’s bland.
I don’t know who Guttfield is. I don’t see this show going anywhere.

The trouble with nightmare scenarios is they get pitched left and right and who knows which one is going to actually come to pass? And even if you knew, what could you really do about it? He can say “I was right” later, but that doesn’t mean if he makes another prediction that I can make financial or any other decisions based on it.
To those who continue to bash Glenn’s former 5:00pm show I defy you to name one other show that exposed as much of this current administration to the degree Glenn did.
Even the other FOX shows gave only lip service to many of the scum uncovered by Glenn using their own words to expose the leftist filth.
Glenn’s radio show sucked more than a total vacuum in space but his TV show was essential to anyone who wanted to see just how much this government has strayed from the constitution and, IMO, is completely at war with its citizens.
Gag. FOX needs some new fresh faces. I won’t be wasting my time watching a bunch of predictable retreads.
I think FOX should have used the time showing midget lesbian mud wrestling.
As it stands, I will pass at 5 on FOX.
Well, at least the cast of 5 characters rotates, so that you aren’t constantly stuck with any one of them on a regular basis. I like Bolling and Gutfeld. Well, we’ll see how it goes. None of you really think that they would have a commentary program without any liberals on it, do you? Of course they will have a token liberal on there. Hence, Bechtal, Rivera, Juan Williams, their house liberals. I just ignore what they say, and glean what I can from the others. Well, I’m getting less and less interested in TV anyhow. I’m on a reading kick at the moment.
My nephew turned me on to Brad Thor books, and now I’m addicted. Pulling too many all nighters reading his thrillers. And the Muzzies are always the bad guys who get taken down. Does my heart good. Thor’s latest book is coming out on July 15th (or is it the 26th?), entitled “Full Black”. Then, as it appears he does one book per year, after that it will be the long and desolate wait until July or so of next year to get my next fix. Moral of the story, I’m trying to replace a lot of TV viewing with book reading (which reminds me how much I love my Kindle). But I digress, in fact most of what I have said here is an I digress, so I’ll stop while I’m ahead, or behind, or whatever.
Sorry- the idea has already been taken as replacement for the Olbermann show.
Michael Savage is on now. Have to go. See ya.
IMHO...
Greg Gutfeld - not too interested, smart but no understanding of Christian theology so he can be very much a turn off
Juan Williams - minimal annoyance, makes a great lib counterpoint guy
Dana Perino - needs to quit the old Repubs and learn, then join Tea Party conservatives.
Judge Andrew Napolitano - Nice guy, pretty sharp on constitutional views. He just has the eliminate the Fed idea but does not, like most of those folks, ever say then, who would be in charge of deciding how much money to print. Congress ???????????????????????????
they
have
got
to
be
kidding if that’s true.
Geraldo Rivera - ok, ex-hippie, sometimes a little off but generally ok
Andrea Tantaros - usually like what she has to say - if she could learn even more econ and small business, wow.
Eric Bolling - he tries, I think he’d like to get out from under the “machine”, but the guest on his show, yuck.
Monica Crowley - same as Andrea
Bob Beckel - old school union guy, when he’s ok I can take him, but he’s goofy. Good for a lib guy to laugh at, since their marketing pitch is f & b, they need somebody who is lib. Sometimes when he gets on a roll, somebody has to just say “ok bob, that’s enough”.
Kimberly Guilfoyle - poor girl, hearts in the right place, but no real courtroom from what I can see. She must have left being a prosecutor for being on TV because she’s so politically wound up, I would think.
It’s funny with Fox, they tend to be so cheeseball. I watch because everything else is outright propaganda. Varney is good - even though the show is so light, once in a while they have a guest who says something interesting because nowhere else would it be allowed. and good ol’ Varney’s heart is in the right place. Business news now is tough, because the gov’t and big business WANT so much hidden, real news has to be figured out from dribs and drabs all over being pieced together by the viewer.
Oh well, my 2c.
I think Fox purposely picks terrible/irritating/stereotypical leftists to provide the ‘left wing voice’ on their shows. While I understand why they do it (To wave their fair and balanced flag aroung), I find it more annoying than anything else. Surely they can find someone who can portray a moderate or liberal viewpoint without being a complete toolbox.
On this note: Does anyone else feel a sudden urge to strangle Colmes whenever he speaks? I’m not sure why, but the only other that comes even vaguely close to him on my hate meter is Maddow.
Not even close. Beckel can at least take a joke and even make a good one or two. Alan is a condescending snob. He seems continuously angry.
He’s a DNC hack. His “honesty” is nothing but liberal talking points. He hasn’t got enough IQ to think for himself.
bttt
Glenn left Fox at just the right time. Murdoch is facing doom. And this new show will not get 1/3rd Beck’s ratings.
yep...I refuse to watch Bob Beckel any time he is on any network. I was no fan of Glenn Beck, but this is no improvement....
Right now, I am not about prayer - I'm about so much more, frankly. It doesn't help to hear (I can't see his video any more) sarcastic banter. I've decided I don't need either. I'll keep hounding my Congressman and Senators and the state reps, too. But I won't depend on Beck for input- he's flown over the cuckoo's nest in my opinion.
Agree 100%. It was terrible.
Absolutely terrible...what was fox thinking....how about coming out to flyover country and finding 5 folks daily to discuss the issues.....America is so tired of listening to professional talking heads....sheeesh!
Absolutely. I can’t listen to any of them anymore. Even if they start off in the right direction they usually take a wild turn somewhere.
Actually your idea is a great one.
Jerry Springer did the same thing when he was a councilmember in Cincinnati.
While you're waiting for that next book of his....
..try Vince Flynn!!!....just as good, maybe better....same genre....spy adventure....good vs bad.
Another good one....Daniel Silva...top rate!
OTOH....Nancy Grace is going to be on O’Reilly tonight!
I agree. But don't hold your breath. She may be partially persona non grata at Fox at the moment.
Michell quit "The Factor" after a feud with O'Reilly involving Geraldo Rivera. She's never been on his show since.
She's on Sean's show once in a blue moon, but not enough for my liking.
So, I wouldn't look for her on the new Beck replacement show, either.
Too bad. This woman is deadly in her news and analysis, she exposes the enemy without fear.....and she's always armed with facts she can back up.
The feud involved the issue of immigration and amnesty. Geraldo Rivera is a foaming-at-the-mouth advocate of same. Malkin is not. Rivera called her "the most vile, hateful commentator I've ever met in my life". O'Reilly took Rivera's side over Michelle.
Actually, Michelle was being carefully groomed to be a Fox regular contributor for a long time. But Big Kahuna O'Bloviator seemingly doesn't want her around the Factor....and the producers of his show defer to him.
Now you know "the rest of the story".
