Giuliani to GOP: 'Get the Heck Out of People's Bedrooms'
FoxNews.com ^ | July 17, 2011

Posted on 07/17/2011 1:39:38 PM PDT by Hunton Peck

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is still weighing a presidential bid, said Sunday that the Republican Party should stop focusing on gay marriage and "get the heck out of people's bedrooms."

Giuliani, who personally supports civil unions but not same-sex marriage, said that he was against the recent vote in New York to legalize gay marriage in the state. But while he called that decision "wrong," he described it as a "democratic vote" and urged Republicans to move on.

"I think that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but I think that the Republican Party would be well-advised to get the heck out of people's bedrooms and let these things get decided by states," Giuliani said. "I think it's wrong, but there are other things that I think are wrong that get decided by democratic vote."

He said he doesn't see "harm" coming to New York over the new law.

"I see more harm, however, by dwelling so much on the subject of gays and lesbians and whether it's right or wrong in politics," Giuliani said, in an interview with CNN's "State of the Union."

Hey I am pretty Libertarian on the issue of gays but I’d be just as po’ed if a group of half naked hetero’s went marching down the street screaming for ‘rights’ that they already possess.

I don’t care who wants to live with what and call it ‘married’.

I don’t care who does what behind closed doors.

Just don’t force it down the throats (so to speak) of our school kids, don’t pervert the law to force society to ‘accept’ their lifestyle and FGS KEEP it in the bedroom, enough with the parades.

Rudy doesn’t see any harm coming to NY stae.

I agree. the harm has long been done there. The problem is that they keep insisting on exporting elsewhere.

I don’t know Rooty, you spent a lot of time in other ladies bedrooms, even moved them into your own.

“the Republican Party should stop focusing on gay marriage....”

I have not heard any of the candidates “focus” on gay marriage. Instead, I have heard them respond to those that are actually Focused on the destruction of marriage. Let me ask the gay community a question. If marriage is a construct of society to support families, then why is there such a desire by those that can not procreate to enter into this construct revolving around family? If it is natural to be homosexual, why is there such a desire to be involved in institutions centered on procreation? (i.e. marriage, adoption, fostering, etc.)

“and “get the heck out of people’s bedrooms.”

Yet, I am supposed to sit back and accept the liberal’s confiscation of my physical being with Obamacare.

It began with a plea for tolerance but now the claws and fangs are coming out. It is not about tolerance, it is about forcing their perverted psychology on everyone especially our children. Anyone reading this who still believes the “it’s discrimination to stop same sex marriage”, “gay marriage will not effect me”, “why can’t they serve in the military” nonsense which has been beaten into your brain over twenty years time by the media, especially television, I hope you are FINALLY waking up. We are not in control THEY are! And that was the plan all along. You have been hypnotized and brainwashed by the left wing’s toy—the mass media. SNAP OUT OF IT!

“get the heck out of people’s bedrooms.”

He should take his own advice.

I’m not the one who slept with someone else while married.

Besides, the fact, that if people kept their damn bedrooms at home instead of the freaking street. I don’t care who they sleep with, just shut the hell up about it.

Exactly!

I don’t think we need a lecture from Rudy/Rooty.

******

He became the only mayor in the city’s history to have to move out of the mayoral mansion because of his domestic difficulties.

Donna Hanover had to obtain a court order to prevent his mistress, Judith Nathan, from staying at the mayor’s mansion while she and the children were present.

I believe most people feel that way was well, I do not care what they do in the privacy of their own homes but I do object to their trying to force others to accept their lifestyle as healthy and normal. The organized gays are extremely sensitive to what people think of them. They cannot stand the idea that others may not approve of their behavior and they are using the government, schools and media in a massive thought control effort to force everybody to think the way they want them to think. This is a great threat to freedom of speach and freedom of religion. All the talk about tolerance they we have been hearing on tv was just a lot of rubbish. They never wanted to be tolerated, they wanted to change the world’s definition of what is considered normal.

I’m from Massachusetts, and they did not get my vote because of this issue. I usually believe in voting for your best choice during the primary and then, if necessay, accepting half-a-loaf if necessary during the final election but this time the half loaf was full of mold so I just passed on the Governor and Lt. Governor vote.

Sure, Rudy. When the pervs get off of my television, out of our schools, and stop parading around on the streets we can talk.
