This is new...and SICK!

Posted on 07/27/2011 8:25:41 AM PDT by MNDude

Recently I did business with MetLife.

As with many large businesses, I had to send them a W-9 and to fill out a vendor questionnaire. The questionnaire contained typical questions like: "Type of commodity/Services the vendor is providing. "Whether MetLife employee/ Ex MetLife employee, etc."

Then at the bottom, the questionnaire says "Whether Minority Owned / Women Owned / Disabled Veterans / LGB-LGBT Owned." Yes, LGB, LGBT, which I'm pretty sure is referring to LESBIAN, GAY, BI, TRANSEXUAL"

I've always been annoyed about having special rights going to the Minority and Women Owned businesses, but from my understanding, these are "disadvantaged businesses" that need extra assistance.

I have a couple of questions I really need answered:

1. I have never heard of any government law(s) federal state making this any criteria for doing business (unlike the minority thing). Does anyone know if there is any laws on the books, or is this something MetLife is doing on their own? If so, I intend to boycott them forever more (although I'll take their money for this or any other sales)

2. It's no secret that the gay community is much more economically prosperous than the average American, so what is the reasoning for giving special advantages to LGBT?

3. When I mentioned we were a small business, we got a response asking to show proof of this. How does one prove themselves to be Gay or Bi?

4. Would one have to physically participate in sexual acts of members of the same sex qualify for these special rights, or would staring at a dude in spandex for ten seconds be enough for their terms?

All I know, is that many times I've been in a rest stop along the highway, I've found writing on the walls that says "be here at 12:30 am at such and such date for (sick sexual act). When I was younger, I thought it was just some pervert joking around. Now I'm pretty sure those bathroom proposals are indeed sincere. It just amazes me these bathroom writers should get any special treatment.

Your thoughts?

This world is changing - I went to my annual woman’s exam and got a question I’d never gotten before - actually a series of them.

How many sexual partners have you had?

Have they been men, women or men AND women. I was shocked, put both hands out in front of me and said “Men!”. I asked what she did when someone said “women”, she said I keep my head down and keep on writing. She said the worst were the little old ladies who turn red and get flustered when she asks that question. They are not used to the new “openness”.

I find it offensive, there are hardly any lesbians, why should we have to shock these poor little old ladies (and me!) because of them.

>>What do you mean, “start”?<<

Hey! I told you never to bring that up here!

So, are we meeting at the usual place tonight?

When dealing with that kind of scum, just lie without prejudice or the slightest bit of conscience and pick up your checks. Check whatever boxes help you. Screw ‘em. Someday I’ll relate the story of a young white fellow I know who shockingly got accepted at a very prestigious university simply because he checked the ‘African-American’ box on his application. Nobody goes back and double checks anything. He just had to put up with lots of junk mail from various black student support groups and fraternities for awhile.

I hear you, there is no justice.

I do wish you and your group the best of success, though. I’m glad your story had a happy ending. Mine wasn’t so happy. My department was out-sourced to Mumbai, India- we all got laid off, had to sell our homes, and move to wherever we were lucky enough to find a job.

Simple:

We live in a country where some people vote on their right for anal sex more than what is good for the country.

We live in a country where some people vote on their right to kill the unborn more than what is good for the country.

We live in a country where some people vote on their love of Marxism more than what is good for the country, their religion or Israel.

We live in a country where some people vote on their skin color more than what is good for the country.

We live in a country where some people vote on their right to steal from the producers more than what is good for the country.

I am sure you can add a few.

Add up enough of these people with their single issue voting and you have a majority vote cobbled together and the country be damned.

I hate them so much that even now, I trash that company in the local forums if I ever had the chance.

And another case of the world changing.

Just went to yahoo to check mail. They have a story posted, apparently a lesbian couple went to Dollywood and they asked one “lady” to turn her shirt inside out in order to not offend the rest of the patrons.

What did her shirt say? “marriage is so gay”

Ugh - I feel so old fashioned...

I went into our Local Wells Fargo branch yesterday for the first time in years-my wife generally does our banking. There was not one white male employed there. The bank branch personnel consisted of: 1 Mexican, 1 white female the rest blacks. The amount of employees seemed to be around 10 to 12.

Wish you success, bro. I’ve been fired/laid off so many times I just didn’t have loyalty for a company I joined up with that’s why we went on our own. I knew I was smarter than these corporate ass-kissers. I told this to a Freeper from MA, that there is nothing on my desk that was personal so when they called me to the office, I just walk out, not look at anyone and not go through my desk with a security guard or manager behind my back for embarrassment purposes to escort me out the building.

One of the reasons I do not do business with the Federal Government is because of these rules. I suspect Metlife does business with the Feds or has adopted these rules “as a good corporate citizen”.

If you can tolerate watching a Barbra Streisand movie for more than one minute without running for the exit.....Gay.

you know, that’s the same for the two Wells Fargo sites I go to, and these are in a really white neighborhood.

One Hispanic babe at the one always seems to flirt with me a lot, so it doesn’t bother me much though.

Probably an Urban Legend (maybe I read it on this board) but there was a story about a white student who checked the "Native American" box. When asked what tribe, he said, "SoSueMe".

I've been known to check the "Native" American box on forms. After all, I was born here.

We're wringing out our society to make 1-2% of the population feel better about themselves.
