Just two months ago, she accused her mother of horrific abuse in an emotional outpouring on American TV. Her late mother, Susan Barrantes, regularly beat her, the Duchess of York alleged during her reality show Finding Sarah.
'When she used to hit me because I didn't sit on my potty or wouldn't eat, a little vein would come up on the centre of my head near my red hair,' she said, adding that her mother called it the 'sign of the devil' and would shout, 'I'm going to beat that devil out!'

“My mother didn’t beat me”
Well—you should have.
I don’t know what’s worse— her lie or your snark.
Ah, the joys of childhood memories.
I remember my parents lashing me to the kitchen
table, clamping the electrodes to my toes and
cranking the telephone generator madly while
cackleing, “Long Distance! Long Distance! Sonny.”
Liberals love painting themselves as victims. It helps keep them miserable.
Look at me!! Look at me!!! Look at me!! Why aren’t you looking at me anymore!?!??!?!
Lying, the new acceptable norm these days.... =.=
“I dont know whats worse her lie or your snark.”
LOL...perhaps if she had gotten her little behind paddled a few times, she wouldn’t be such a pathological liar.
My mom kicked my ass and there won’t be any backtracking from that statement because I needed it.
This girl needs some serious help.
My cousin has a 8 mm film when I was six years old. We’re all sitting at the table having dinner. My mother reaches for a biscuit and I duck. My mother would hit me and my siblings with whatever she could get her hands on.
...’cause child abuse is so funny. (extreme sarcasm). what an idiot.
It was my mother’s job. My dad might pull his belt off and yell a lot but he wasn’t the one I worried about.
Its pathetic. She has to do something to stay in the public eye. She’s put the weight back on so no more Jenny Craig commercials. And now she’s really showing her age too. So what’s a fat old cow to do? Give interviews about getting beaten.
The old phrase “taken leave of her senses” comes to mind.
Most of us here are old enough to have grown up getting spankings - I would never classify that as beating. I don’t find her remark funny at all and even sadder is that she feels now she has to back track and call it a joke instead of admitting what happened. She gave too much detail to later claim it was a joke.

The John (Leibowitz) Stewart defense:
“But, dude, when I’m calling you conservatives c**ks**cking bootyb!tches, and spitting at you, I’m only joking, ‘cause I’m a comedian first and a liberal media activist only secondary.”
Sheesh! Redheads! I have a great fondness for them,,,,, but,,,,,, I dated, or lived with, or married(just one!), at least 25 of them, and two were reasonable!
I did not get the impression that she was trying to portray herself as a victim of vicious physical child abuse.
Anybody else see the episode?
