We love dogs. Our Border Collie Mindy will be 16 years-old if she makes it to October. We brought her home as a little puppy and she has been a great companion. Now she sleeps a lot and we are spending a lot of personal time with her in her last days. This photo looks a lot like her:

I have a Sheltie/Beagle Mix, a Border/Golden Mix and full blood Border. I KNOW the Border and the Border mix understand what I am saying and my body language. Dogs ARE smarter than we believed.

I know just how you feel. My dog is 14 years old. She doesn’t eat as much anymore and has lost a lot of weight. She has her days where she just doesn’t seem right and won’t eat. Then the next day or next few days she seems to be fine. I love my Honey I hope she lives as long as my old cat did, 22 years.

Border collars are beautiful dogs. I bet you have quite a few good stories about Mindy.

I’ve got a Border/Lab mix and it will be very hard when she’s gone. It’s so hard knowing any dog you get will outlive you.
