The longtime host of "Grandy & Andy" on Washington, DC's WMAL-AM (630) left the news/talk station in March 2010, ending his 25-year partnership with former Iowa Rep. Fred Grandy after the station decided to go in a different direction in mornings. Parks, a well-known airborne traffic reporter before becoming the morning show co-host, has been off the air since his departure from the Citadel-owned station. Parks will now be heading across town in the Nation's Capital, joining WTNT-AM (730) for afternoon drive, becoming the host of his own show that will include Washington Times Columnists Jeff Kuhner and Jennifer Harper. The show will be broadcast from the newsroom of The Washington Times and produced by The Times. Parks will also be broadcast on Warrenton, Virginia's WKDL-AM (1250). Andy, Jeff and Jennifer will begin on August 22, and replace the syndicated Jerry Doyle in afternoons on "The Truth

Former WMALer Andy Parks To WTNT - 8/8 - DCRTV hears that Andy Parks, who had been heard for many years co-hosting news talker WMAL’s morning show, is returning with a news and current events program that will be heard on talker WTNT, 730 AM, weekdays from 3 PM to 6 PM. Beginning Monday, August 22, “The Andy Parks Show” will be broadcast from the newsroom of the Washington Times and feature Times columnists Jeff Kuhner and Jennifer Harper. Bruce Houston, president of Metro Radio, which owns WTNT, said: “Andy Parks is an excellent personality in Washington and we are very proud to carrying the new show.” Parks left WMAL in the spring of 2010 after a morning show shake-up. WTNT can also be heard on Metro’s WKDL, 1250 AM, in Warrenton and via a live stream at 730wtnt.com.....
WMAL list of releases -
Michael Graham- Chris Core- Andy Parks- Fred Grandy
I remember Michael Graham on WTNT, but could be wrong. He and Fred Grandy were both dropped due to their vocal views on radical Islam.
So, Andy Parks will be filling the slot where WTNT currently pipes in a delayed broadcast of Dennis Miller.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
630 WMAL PING
I miss ol’ Andy and his bus. Glad to see that he’s finally landed somewhere.
Great news! When Andy got canned from WMAL I switched over to WTNT. Now I can catch him in the afternoon drive-home.
Chris Core is now on WTOP News Radio. He has a segment called “Core Values”.
Wonder if they’ll let Andy play his hit single “Drivin’ a Big Truck”...
That Washington Times radio crew is pretty strict and stiff.
