That would be a powerful ticket. Talk about projecting strength. Ok, now you can go ahead and tell me about how Rudy is a communist.

Is having an alliance with Giuliani any better or worse than having one with John McCain?

Whatever his policy differences with the GOP conservatives, Rudy is the greatest inspirational leader in recent times. Koch started the NY turnaround, and Rudy completed it. Bloomburg can enjoy the benefits of what they accomplished. I saw Rudy in the days after 9-11. He personified the feelings and unbending spirit of all true Americans. If he’s on Rick Perry’s team then that’s a huge plus.

Rick Perry/Rudy Giuliani equals “The RINO Ticket”, and it would help boost ALL of the truly non-RINO candidates for ‘12 POTUS, IMHO. Also, having Rick Perry in the race damages all of the other RINO candidates in the race.

If you keep Rudy away from the social issues, he can be quite an asset politically. I don’t know if he and Perry are really that close or whether Perry simply found Rudy more presidential than Romney, Huckabee or McCain. Rudy still had that “America’s Mayor” vibe going at the time.

I do think Perry has networked rather well without relying on the Bush Beltway clique. He’s been governor long enough to have made connections in most of the critical states.

Guiliani should be an American and support who he will, with all his vigor.

But, he should never be considered for a ticket position.

He went from America’s Mayor to an American Panderer when dealing with Barry.

I don’t want to hear anymore Shiite about how Barry is “O.K.”.

“F” that Tard.

He is an anethma to American ideals. A loser deluxe and Tuesday is coming up so he can drive his car around the estate.

I only want to hear from candidates who will excoriate Barry. Everything he stands for and all he has done.

FU Barry Hole....

Perry has never had to raise money under federal contribution limits — $2,500 for the primary and $2,500 for the general election is all any single donor can give — and would have to change his model of finding a handful of major donors who can write huge checks to one centered around big bundlers who can collect hundreds of smaller checks.

Wow, and we’re supposed to like this guy?

Perry is used to getting huge sums of money from small numbers of people.

Nobody likes him much, but he gets huge sums of money for favors. Selling off the states infrastructure to foreigners, and money for Perry.

Such a hero, that Perry.

Ironically Perry also endorsed Al Gore for President.

Well, this is interesting. It makes me think better of both of them, because these are not the type of people I’d think would be “friends”.

Say what you like about Rudy Giuliani, but I grew up in NYC and watched it deteriorate into a hell hole.

Rudy Giuliani single-handedly brought that city back from the brink of the abyss. While being called Hitler, oh no wait, let’s call him Mussolini, by the NY Times, et al.

You think mud was slung at Bush? It was all a recycle of the mud they threw at Giuliani.

And I don’t know what your beef is with him about 9/11, but all I know is that first night, when there were tens of millions of people in the tri-state area absolutely at the ends of our ropes, he went on TV and bucked us all up.

Even my stinking, lefty, liberal friend (who would cut her throat in Macy’s window before she’d vote for a republican for dog catcher) said “he was great”.

So, yeah, there are some problems with Giuliani, but he’ll always be a hero in my book.

I don’t blame Perry for endorsing Rudy in 2008 - the GOP choices were bad all around. But it would be political suicide to have Rudy on the ticket. Bernie Kerick is just the starting point of his warts.
