He’s about our age, not old and wears the brown monks robe under his vestments along with sandals. he is so full of joy it’s infectious. and his sermons ALWAYS move me to tears, today being no exception.

It just started pouring here. How did the boys like the football game the other night?
To: SoothingDave
They had a great time. Ant had never been to a stillers game so it was a big thrill for him . They left at the half when they put the scrubs in though to avoid traffic. Took them 2 hrs to get there. Fed ex field is nightmarish re traffic

How do you feel about A&M moving, potentially, to SEC?

I think the SEC is one of, if not the most competitive conferences and always builds good rivalries. I’d love to be able to see them play here. But they need someone from the east to jump in.

I’ve never been a big fan of the Big 12. I preferred the SWC. I think conferences today are too big. What do you think Whyisa?

Well there’s the whole TCU in the Big East now too, they need to just give diff names to these conferences!

It was a pretty lackluster game, but I’m glad they enjoyed themselves.

That’s something we’ve never understood - people who claim to be fans and then leave games early. It’s one thing if you’re not a fan and got free tickets and have work in the morning but otherwise, we had a name for it at A&M.

Xsboy isn’t a fan of either team but he drove got the free parking and the free tickets and had no desire to get home really late due to bad traffic.

I hate seeing our conference dissolve. Every conference needs a good mix of teams and I think A&M thinks this is going to be a good move for them but unless they start buying players like some of the notorious SEC teams they won't ever be truly competitive there. I think it is a pipe dream to think they are going to be a big SEC team instead of another "win" for the other ones.

I was just sitting in a waiting room for hours while DH had his colonoscopy today and the lady who struck up a conversation w/me told me she had just seen the movie and loved it. Knowing me, I will wait for the DVD to come out.
