I get a hero’s welcome for about 5 minutes every night when I come home. When I returned from a week-long vacation, the dogs did not simmer down for 45 minutes!

GREAT video!! :)) Hope we don’t get the usual drop-ins whining about why the thread isn’t about humans, abortion, child abuse or chiding us that we love our animals too much and they shouldn’t have “rights”, blah blah blah.... Gets way old.

Mine see me 24/7 so I get 10 minutes of hysteria if I leave the room but *daddy* gets the “OMG! We thought we’d never see you again!” when he *finally* comes in from the shop.
One of these days, these mutts better figure out ~who~ feeds/waters/trains/nurses/lets them out & in....LOL
The best welcome home I ever got from was the Wonder Dobe back in 1981.
He’d seen the horse flatten me and the ambulance haul me away.
He howled for the 11 days I was in a coma and when I come home from the hospital, I went straight to his kennel and without thinking, turned him out.
He knocked me -flat- and almost killed me with welcome home licks, hugs and bounces.
He was making weird noises somewhere between “laughs” and “sobs”.
He got really over-protective of me after that and pitched a fit if he even *thought* I was going near the horses without him there to keep them at a safe distance.
Lord, how I loved that dog and apparently, he loved me.
Rats.
Now I really need Kleenex.
They’re just jealous because they’ve never truly experienced it, themselves.
I had to use Internet Explorer to watch it.
Firefox’s latest “upgrade” wrecked the Flash Player plug-in.
You are SOOOO right, but it never ceases to be annoying to those who love animals that virtually EVERY thread dealing with pet welfare gets these whiners posting about anything and everything BUT the topic at hand!!
On another dog thread, I just got accused of “white liberal guilt” because I refuse to abuse or beat my dogs into “submission”.
It’s a madhouse.

LOL! All your stories sound very familiar, my dogs are my best friends. In fact I can do without my human friends but I can’t make it with out my pup friends. :)

When I was a kid, my dogs [and horses] were my only playmates.
There weren’t any kids nearby and somehow, I don’t think I turned out the worse for it.
I’ve been described as having a “dog-loyal devotion” to my human friends.
Gee...wonder where I learned *that* from?
