Nugent says "Run Rick Run"
The Washington Times ^ | June 1, 2011 | Ted Nugent

Posted on 08/17/2011 3:24:57 PM PDT by HerrBlucher

Good friend and Texas Gov. Rick Perry should remember that now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Now is that time, Rick. Run for president.

Indeed, the other GOP candidates are good men and women. Many thoughtful Americans have confidence that each of them would set a new, critically needed, much improved and responsible direction for America - the opposite of President Obama’s course.

Though it’s still very early in the campaign season, no one in the field of candidates is electrifying GOP voters. There is little buzz or excitement.

Candidate Perry would provide campaign electricity. In the words of the Gipper, it would be morning in America once again with Rick Perry running for president.

Rick is a true conservative, and a powerful and popular one. He has never lost an election and remains the only person to have won the Texas governorship three times in landslide elections.

This is a couple of months old but certainly relevant to recent events, and the other thread about Gene Simmons. No surprise that Nugent likes Perry since they are friends.

Its good to be cautious. There is certainly a lot of info about Perry being posted recently, good and bad, and so anyone who is willing to spend the time to do some research should be able to come to a well informed, non emotional, decision.

"My governor shoots coyotes. What does yours do?"

Mine shoots unions (Walker - Wisc.) but I get Ted's point.

Ted, I really respected you a lot. Then you moved from Jackson to Crawford. Now I think you are a little opportunist crap. JMHO. Sorry.

.

A reminder of what another famouos American has said:

“If you don’t believe Reaganomics can still work in this day and age, for whatever reason, I say you should look no further than the state of Texas.
Under the leadership of Gov. Rick Perry, Texas has championed and built upon the concepts my father used to rebuild America in the 1980s..
In short, Reagan Revolution is alive and well - deep in the heart of Texas.”

Don't you know, there are a fair number of folks who won't support anyone but their anointed favorite and who will unabashedly tell you that they would rather let Obama be President another 4 years than have a "RINO" in the White House. That way Republicans will be free to blame Obama and things will be so bad that we can win . . . of course they don't care the another 4 years of the Narcissist in Chief--manchild will probably take this nation down so far it can't recover.

I think some of them fantasize about being some post apocalyptic hero fighting running battles with out of control liberals, etc., etc.

Really pathetic and irrational.

"Ted Nugent is a RINO!"

So am I!

I generally don't like to be associated with "real" Republicans...Rove, Dole, McCain, Bush I, Bush II (although he was a great person), etc, etc, etc.... So what if Perry is a RINO like many claim? He's in VERY good company.

When any RINO, liberal or the MSM rant against a candidate, it must mean they fear them greatly - we've read that over and over on the forum........

A lot of conservatives respect Nugent’s political opinions, and he is published from time to time so, I guess his opinion does matter......Simmons, not so much.
