Hum? I think CA law is that if the man breaks the engagement the woman keeps the ring, if the woman breaks the engagement she has to give it back.

They are talking about it now on KMJ. As I understand it, it doesn’t matter who breaks the engagement, the man can still get the property back because they were given in anticipation of marriage.

The local talk show brought out information that she was engaged in another relationship, so the guy broke off the engagement. He might be considering himself extremely lucky about now.
