TOKYO ROVE STRIKES AGAIN
© 2011 by Anthony James
Sour Grapes Karl Just Cant Help Himself.
As former president Ronald Reagan would say, There you go again, Karl.
On Wednesday evening on Greta Van Susterens top-rated FOX TV news and talk show, On The Record, former Bush political adviser and the man euphemistically referred to as The Architect for his alleged contributions to George W. Bushs winning campaign strategies in 2000 and 2004, Karl Rove just inexplicably and repeatedly soiled himself in front of the American public again and again.
Greta had asked him why he felt it was that the slightest mention of Gov. Sarah Palin set the parallel worlds of political punditry and media mouthpieces into an instant tailspin. In typical nonresponsive politico-speak, Rove completely avoided the question and instead dove into a gratuitous and revealing set of disingenuous canards with the obvious goal of again besmirching the good name of Gov. Sarah Palin.
First, Rove repeatedly referred to the SarahPAC response to media speculation (including my own) that Sarah would use the upcoming September 3rd Tea Party gathering in Iowa as the launchpad for officially announcing her presidential intentions in 2012 directly implying that the response came from Gov. Palin herself, and not from the political action committee which frequently speaks in justifiable defense of her without her explicit awareness, knowledge or approval.
Having erected this disingenuous strawman at which to throw his inane barbs and arrows, Rove went on to state, If she doesnt want people speculating about whether or not shes running, theres a very simple remedy. She can just come right out and say Im not running. Here, again, Roves Freudian slip is exposed as he jumped in one sentence from misrepresenting what it was that SarahPAC actually objected to to laying bare his most fervent personal wish. What Sarah pack had objected to was not the media speculating about whether Sarah would run, but that she intended to announce that decision in Iowa two Saturdays from now. Karls deceit here was subtle enough to go unnoticed by the casual observer, which I am sure was his despicably calculated intention, but it was all-important nonetheless. His most fervent wish is quite obviously that Sarah would not run for president in 2012.
Having already committed what would be several cardinal sins for any nationally televised political pundit, which is of course blatantly and openly lying in an attempt to deceive the viewing public, Rove then threw caution to the wind and went nuclear with this patently absurd diatribe: If Palins gonna be this thin skinned about something so simple as the media speculating on her candidacy, how can she possibly hope to withstand the pressure of the office of president? Im paraphrasing here, but that is distinctly the gist of his most absurd outburst to date.
Thin-skinned? Sarah Palin thin-skinned? Never in the centuries long history of American political discourse has any one political figure been subjected to such vulgar, untruthful, vituperous excoriation as has Sarah Palen on a nonstop weekly basis for the last three years running. She has taken every disgustingly vitriolic and unfair assault upon her person, her family, and even her baby born with Downs Syndrome, and yet there she stands; strong, smiling, as bright and shining as a new penny. Undefatigable and ineluctable. Look it up.
For this yesterdays-news political hack to call Sarah Palin thin-skinned accomplishes only one purpose, notwithstanding its accomplishment has been long overdue. His entire screed, manufactured out of whole cloth in non-response to a question that was about something completely different was undeniably way out of line, off base, and patently deceitful. But this last uncalled for jab that Sarah Palin establishes only one thing very clearly:
Karl Rove cannot be trusted. He is a deceitful dinosaur who has long outlived his usefulness to the political process, and who has now proven unequivocally that his agenda, however vile, will always trump the far more pressing need for the truth.
The advent of The Tea Party and their improbable and historic victory last November in sweeping over over 70 Republicans into what were previously Democrat-held seats in the House of Representatives proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the old-school, old guard, old-fashioned political expertslike Karl Rove are as tone deaf about, and useless to, the current political process as would be a Town Crier. That this would engender in Rove a deep and bitter resentment is perhaps expected, but that it would cause him to so blatantly mislead the American viewing public on a top-rated national news and talk show is a sure sign that his time, and his usefulness, has come and gone.
The American public is completely disgusted with the political process, the Beltway denizens who take them for granted and call them terrorists for merely disagreeing, and for trying to lay at the doorstep of the nations voters the horrific financial plight that we are in in a despicable attempt to pretend that this blood is on our hands and not theirs, all are emphatic reasons why we need more honesty and candid political discourse, and much less of the vile, deceitful projectile excreta we heard from Karl Rove this evening.
It is precisely this reason, among many others, why Sarah Palin is such a sought after and cherished breath of fresh air in an atmosphere made cloyingly nauseating by the stench of the liars and prostitutes in D.C. who feign a far nobler ambition in the name of American politics.
Even as the sun sets on Karl Rove and his ilk, it rises on Gov. Palin and the promise of the new day that she ushers in with her to an American public absolutely starved for it.
As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, Its morning in America.

Rove is the turd blossom without the blossom
Well said!!!!!!!!!
Karl Rove cannot be trusted.
I’ve reading the book;
Reckless Endangerment: How Outsized Ambition, Greed, and Corruption Led to Economic Armageddon by Gretchen Morgenson and Joshua Rosner
There are people that should be in jail. If we don’t elect Sarah Palin, all the corruption inside the beltway will go on unabated. There isn’t any other single candidate with the balls to clean out the Washington DC cesspool. This election is far more than merely defeating Obama. I wish the hell others would realize that fact.
As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, Its morning in America.
Beautiful.
Regards, Mr. Sol.
The Architect has now become The Derelect. His usefulness is gone, he costs more political capital to retain than to retire, and future books about his glory days should be written in past-tense.
Sir absolutely.
Both Rove and Dana Perino appear to be Bushbots, eager to undercut the prospects of any Republican presidential prospect who might be able to defeat Obama and thus prevent Jeb from becoming Prexy in 2016.
As if there will be any nation left in the rubble by then.
Don’t leave out the other “Former” Democrap - Charles Sour Krauthammer!
“stweaming” LOL
ROVE FEARS PALIN!
Karl Rove is a lonely man.
Somewhere, in a book, Rove is talking to about their strategy, and the coming campaign. Both he and Rove decide against 'going conservative,' and instead decide to go with W's personality. I know I felt betrayed. I'm sure others did as well. That was all I needed to know about Rove. He's a RINO.
I think Rove and the elites want her in. The more the votes are split, the better Mitt's chances. They only care about Mitt! Sarah Palin wouldn't pull 10 votes from Mitt. She would pull votes from Bachmann, Cain and Perry.
The United States is a successful representative republic and capitalist society and its money belongs to the people. Those authorized by the people should remember that they are working for the people.
Barack Obama has socialist values that have failed everywhere they have been tried. Taxes, outrageous spending, government growth and political perks should be cut.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s convention and resignation speeches speak for themselves. Palin is interested in history and she is determined to make it.
The Tea Party was formed to defend our great country against Mr. Obama and his party’s anti-American socialist policies.
We have been in a global terrorist Islamic jihad for 32 years and it will continue until we, the people, decide that enough is enough.
This is the message we need to disseminate to the terrorists and the world. This is about our freedom and the freedom of our children.
The explanation is simple: Rove, Perino, and Krauthammer are neocons more in line with Romney and Huntsman than Palin or Bachmann. Heck, even Perry is too conservative for them. They aren’t the only ones at FOX like that, either. People like to make a lot of hay about FOX being a right-wing news channel, but that noise largely comes from raging liberals who think anyone to the right of Obama is indistinguishable.
The “Tokyo Rove” meme is really childish. Does Sarah no credit at all.
I just want to point out that Dick Morris and Karl Rove have never been seen together in public.
Rove and the Bushes don’t like Perry...and Perry doesn’t care...a feud that’s gone on for years.
I was thinking Rove believed Sarah Palin joining the race would draw from Rick Perry to divide the conservative vote, paving the way for Romney (Rove’s pick), but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
According to this poll, Sarah Palin would draw some from Rick Perry, but it would be a smaller percentage overall since he is already so far ahead, plus supporters are now polling that most will stick with Perry, and Sarah Palin would pull a little from Rick Santorum and slightly from Newt Gingrich, but mostly from Michele Bachmann with Michele Bachmann taking the biggest hit from a Sarah Palin candidacy. Looking at these poll results, a Sarah Palin candidacy would basically take Michele Bachmann OUT.
However, Sarah Palin, who is somewhat liked by some independents, does draw some from Mitt Romney as well, as the poll here shows.
You will see in the poll results below that even if Karl Rove thinks Sarah Palin would take out Rick Perry to make way for Mitt Romney, it doesn’t look like it would work that way.

And here is another polling source which indicates that Sarah Palin entering the race does not break the votes enough to help Mitt Romney but instead hurts him:
From:
Excerpt:
The poll delivered still more bad news for Mr. Romney, showing that an entry by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin into the race, as looks increasingly likely, would further weaken his position. With Ms. Palin in the race, a quarter of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents said they would still support Mr. Perry, while Mr. Romneys support would dip to 14%. Ms. Palin would come in tied with Mr. Paul at 11%.
Don’t believe everything you hear - it’s politics, it’s not about ‘he doesn’t like me or I him’ - they bypass that crapola for the bigger picture.
;^\
True enough, but only because, once Palin announces, Mitt ain't getting 10 votes.
Deal with it, Siz.

As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, Its morning in America.
I thought of both of you as I read (and wrote) this.

This is precisely what Rove is doing to conservatives with his propaganda against Palin. The simile is not only exquisitely appropos to the current situation, but Rove is actually performing precisely the same discouraging disinformative propaganda role that his oriental namesake did six decades ago.
"Tokyo Rove" is perfectly accurate. Deal with it.

Palin historically draws votes two-to-three times greater than her pre-election poll numbers. Perhaps because of all the negative press propaganda which has been hallmarks of the negative campaigning run against her, there are seemingly always far mor people who are going to vote for her on election day than are willing to admit it in advance.
One thing is certain: She rarely polls well, and she mostly always wins. Go figure.
Short version, those numbers you posted ain't worth crap.
8^D
All of this proves one thing.
Washington DC badly needs a house-cleaning from top to bottom, in BOTH major parties, to rid this nation of the most disgusting subhumans who populate its corrupt capitol's hallways.
To people like Rove, "bi-partisan" is about BOTH parties fighting decent American people like Sarah Palin who are trying to rid this country of the vermin, like Rove, who have brought disease to our doorsteps.
We must rid America of the know-it-all's like Rove who have been so smart as to destroy the finest republic ever conceived by man.
Rove ought to be ashamed of himself for being the "architect" of America's descent into insolvency through federal overspending, exploding far beyond that of Clinton, under G. W. Bush, and the Bush's lawless dereliction of duty on illegal immigration.
Rove is the "architect" of the misery we now face in America.
Rove is not a reformer and he desperately fears Sarah Palin, who IS a reformer and will make sure Rove is irrelevant to the future of the United States.
They are driven by pure GREED and self interest.
Actually it’s quite an accurate description of the SOB. Not to mention kinder than he deserves.
“Both Rove and Dana Perino appear to be Bushbots, eager to undercut the prospects of any Republican presidential prospect who might be able to defeat Obama and thus prevent Jeb from becoming Prexy in 2016.”
Agreed, and neither one is successful at hiding the sudden change of facial expressions whenever the Barracuda’s name is mentioned.....It’s childish, but I would love to see a Palin presidency rubbed in all their faces....

Mark America’s nice take down of Tokyo Rove...
http://markamerica.com/2011/08/25/karl-rove-is-a-villain-those-he-serves-are-wors/
I myself have not watched or listened to fox in over a month...I don't miss it at all. It is time many many more of us did the same thing.
This war has not yet begun. What has been seen of the other candidates to date has been nothing but minor and irrelevant skirmishing. Candidates in...candidates out....candidates winning....candidates losing.....candidates saying silly things.....candidates saying cogent, insightful things....candidates being personally attacked by the msm (including fox) and the largely irrelevant, faux intelligencia (rove, krauthammer, morris, olberman, matthews, etc)....candidates being dismissed by the msm......candidates attacking one another instead of concentrating on the real issues and enemy.
It is a very, very long way yet to November, 2012. There is no need to rush. Keeping her own council Mrs. Palin smiles knowingly, and trusting in the loyalty of her supporters, remembers the words of Napolean, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." and General Patton, "Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!"
When she arrives, you can count on total war. She has learned how to fight. She has been through this before.....all the way to election day. She does not spin; she attacks, all the time....constantly; she does not back away from principles; she means exactly what she says....and says exactly what she means. She has built and continues to add to her base of support because of who and what she is....not because of who or what she panders to.
Patience.....patience....
Wait for it!
And keep the faith....
As you wish. Well said.
Good one!
I suspect that when his gig at Fox runs out, we will see him on MSNBC and CNN etc, along with Nicole Wallace, and Karen Hanretty. Hanretty will be joining MSNBC as soon as Governor Palin wins the nomination..
Your hyperbole which may or may not create the effect you wish has not gone unnoticed by all, Gorgantua. I hope all the Palin supporters you have intentionally mocked here soon see your pseudo-auspices of your satirically-portrayed Sarah Palin and their affront on conservative politics and conservative voters.
("Palin is announcing on September 3rd in Indianola, Iowa")
By the way, your FR signature, (in italics above) is a dead giveaway too. You may have thought it seemed like a good move using Karl Rove's tactic to make Sarah Palin look bad on September 3, but at least know that some here know that political strategy, and YOU, dear sir, just gave your hand away.
Next thing we know, everyone here might get your line, and you'll be left with nothing but examining the political and social uses of Homer in early modern France at The University of Texas in Austin.
I understand that you may question the accuracy of my opinion, but you cannot question my right to express it, as that is incontrovertible. My tagline is expressing my opinion. It does not state that I have inside information which makes this opinion factual. It's just my opinion.
If it is in fact your considered opinion that my sub-rosa intent is actually to injur Sarah Palin's chances for election, then you are as far off the mark as is possible within the human experience.
Lest any other armchair sleuth/psychologist/psycho make the same improbable leap from reality that you for some indistinguishable reason have elected to, I have amended my tagline to make even clearer that which is already obvious to all but the most stunningly ignorant among us.
Thank you for reminding me that all FReepers aren't nearly as bright as the vast majority here are.

Good come back. I give you that. And yes, you have every right to express your opinion whether it is your opinion or a fake one. It’s your right to do that.
I generally appreciate those who see different things and who bring them here for more discussion, analysis, education, and / or understanding. Hidden mockery though... Not nice.
I originally was not even going to respond. I usually don’t respond to those who get on threads late at night and start bashing in a thread, adding last minute post after post after post after post. Many times those are the trolls.
But after seeing the multitude of last minute posts you put on the thread last night, I decided, on a whim, to check out your home page and your recent posts from other threads these last few weeks. Usually I do a simple quick of other’s recent posts because I barely respond to anyone’s comment unless I have a feeling, no matter how simply, of whom I am speaking to, and that includes what they say. This time, I just had an interest in your profile and recent posts because of the frequency of seething remarks you wrote to every single person on that thread who had said something good about Perry or something not as good or even neutral about Palin. (I have noticed all your seething posts about Herman Cain as well.) Therefore, I did click on your homepage and in seeing your many posts overall, one could surmise some intent.
For my response to you, I had considered posting a variety of your posts from other threads to make my point but thought I would simply use the ones from the response you gave me. I thought it would make enough of a point. That was my error. I should have included several other gargantua comments from other posts and threads. But realize my position was NOT from one little thing I read that I could have been written off as a naive voter.
While I would like to see a Rick Perry nomination, I certainly do not appreciate the belittling of Palin supporters here nor do I appreciate a mocking of Sarah Palin.
So feel free to write your points, true or fake, but realize that those of us who are here to root for conservative principles will be watching out for our conservative candidates, whether or not they are the ones we like the best as our future nominee.
If you can, please post one item... just one... where I "mock" Sarah Palin. You're so far away from anything resembling a vestige of reality, even viewed way off on the horizon, I'd be interested, from a purely clinical perspective, to try to grasp what it is that you so misconstrue with such fervent errata.
I reviewed the last dozen or so of your more recent posts, and was not in the least surprised to note that you vascillate between liking Perry and disliking Perry, and also between supporting Perry and support for Palin. Such flights of impulsive fancy are clinically indicated but hardly conclusive.
It would be helpful to my final analysis if you could settle on one item I have ever posted which in any way mocks or denigrates Governor Palin, as well as a brief line explaining how it offends you. If you cannot, I truly understand, as I have never posted any such thing.
Regardless your response or lack thereof, I will not waste your or my time in further colloquy, as my experience with delusionals indicates that there is nothing productive to be gained by providing a platform for the afflicted from which to spew their deranged corrigenda.
Seek help.
That will be all. Good luck.
