TOKYO ROVE” STRIKES AGAIN
© 2011 by Anthony James

Sour Grapes Karl Just Can’t Help Himself.

As former president Ronald Reagan would say, “There you go again, Karl.”

On Wednesday evening on Greta Van Susteren’s top-rated FOX TV news and talk show, “On The Record,” former Bush political adviser and the man euphemistically referred to as “The Architect” for his alleged contributions to George W. Bush’s winning campaign strategies in 2000 and 2004, Karl Rove just inexplicably and repeatedly soiled himself in front of the American public again and again.

Greta had asked him why he felt it was that the slightest mention of Gov. Sarah Palin set the parallel worlds of political punditry and media mouthpieces into an instant tailspin. In typical nonresponsive politico-speak, Rove completely avoided the question and instead dove into a gratuitous and revealing set of disingenuous canards with the obvious goal of again besmirching the good name of Gov. Sarah Palin.

First, Rove repeatedly referred to the SarahPAC response to media speculation (including my own) that Sarah would use the upcoming September 3rd Tea Party gathering in Iowa as the launchpad for officially announcing her presidential intentions in 2012 directly implying that the response came from Gov. Palin herself, and not from the political action committee which frequently speaks in justifiable defense of her without her explicit awareness, knowledge or approval.

Having erected this disingenuous strawman at which to throw his inane barbs and arrows, Rove went on to state, “If she doesn’t want people speculating about whether or not she’s running, there’s a very simple remedy. She can just come right out and say I’m not “running.”’ Here, again, Rove’s Freudian slip is exposed as he jumped in one sentence from misrepresenting what it was that SarahPAC actually objected to to laying bare his most fervent personal wish. What Sarah pack had objected to was not the media speculating about whether Sarah would run, but that she intended to announce that decision in Iowa two Saturdays from now. Karl’s deceit here was subtle enough to go unnoticed by the casual observer, which I am sure was his despicably calculated intention, but it was all-important nonetheless. His most fervent wish is quite obviously that Sarah would not run for president in 2012.

Having already committed what would be several cardinal sins for any nationally televised political pundit, which is of course blatantly and openly lying in an attempt to deceive the viewing public, Rove then threw caution to the wind and went nuclear with this patently absurd diatribe: “If Palin’s gonna be this thin skinned about something so simple as the media speculating on her candidacy, how can she possibly hope to withstand the pressure of the office of president?” I’m paraphrasing here, but that is distinctly the gist of his most absurd outburst to date.

Thin-skinned? Sarah Palin thin-skinned? Never in the centuries long history of American political discourse has any one political figure been subjected to such vulgar, untruthful, vituperous excoriation as has Sarah Palen on a nonstop weekly basis for the last three years running. She has taken every disgustingly vitriolic and unfair assault upon her person, her family, and even her baby born with Down’s Syndrome, and yet there she stands; strong, smiling, as bright and shining as a new penny. Undefatigable and ineluctable. Look it up.

For this “yesterday’s-news” political hack to call Sarah Palin thin-skinned accomplishes only one purpose, notwithstanding its accomplishment has been long overdue. His entire screed, manufactured out of whole cloth in non-response to a question that was about something completely different was undeniably way out of line, off base, and patently deceitful. But this last uncalled for jab that Sarah Palin establishes only one thing very clearly:

Karl Rove cannot be trusted. He is a deceitful dinosaur who has long outlived his usefulness to the political process, and who has now proven unequivocally that his agenda, however vile, will always trump the far more pressing need for the truth.

The advent of The Tea Party and their improbable and historic victory last November in sweeping over over 70 Republicans into what were previously Democrat-held seats in the House of Representatives proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the old-school, old guard, old-fashioned political “ experts”like Karl Rove are as tone deaf about, and useless to, the current political process as would be a “Town Crier.” That this would engender in Rove a deep and bitter resentment is perhaps expected, but that it would cause him to so blatantly mislead the American viewing public on a top-rated national news and talk show is a sure sign that his time, and his usefulness, has come and gone.

The American public is completely disgusted with the political process, the Beltway denizens who take them for granted and call them “terrorists” for merely disagreeing, and for trying to lay at the doorstep of the nation’s voters the horrific financial plight that we are in in a despicable attempt to pretend that this blood is on our hands and not theirs, all are emphatic reasons why we need more honesty and candid political discourse, and much less of the vile, deceitful projectile excreta we heard from Karl Rove this evening.

It is precisely this reason, among many others, why Sarah Palin is such a sought after and cherished breath of fresh air in an atmosphere made cloyingly nauseating by the stench of the liars and prostitutes in D.C. who feign a far nobler ambition in the name of American politics.

Even as the sun sets on Karl Rove and his ilk, it rises on Gov. Palin and the promise of the new day that she ushers in with her to an American public absolutely starved for it.

As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, ”It’s morning in America.”

Hey, guess this.

We're attacking Rove becauese he's using his nationally televised platform to spread lies about Sarah Palin. You want to get behind that, go right ahead.

Sarah Palin is the one GOP pitbull whose attacks on Obama's socialist assault on America have not only been incessant, but have also been hugely effective.

When Palin called their "Medical Boards" Death Panels, the Rats were forced to remove them from the bill.

When the TEA Party congressional freshmen were about to go all wobbly in the recent debt-limit debate, one email from Palin put the "steel" back in their spine.

And there have been a hundred other instances where Palin alone has steered the public discussion back on track over the past three years. Now, she's about to replace O'Bunghole in the White House.

I don't care if the person assailing Palin is a Democrat, a "Republican," or the freaking Pope! If they come after Sarah, they're gonna have to deal with me, period!

Got it? "Deb?"

I wish the hell others would realize that fact.

Some of us do..."it's the corruption, stupid!"

Geez, what a hero. How many of our wounded would you have shot during the war?

I assume that little bit of pearl-clutching drama was for Jim's benefit. Laughable.

The “Tokyo Rove” meme is really childish. Does Sarah no credit at all.

Don’t need a bridge. I had an apology for misunderstanding your comment when you told me you were the author of the article (which I had believed as truth), and I gave you what I felt I needed to in the hopes that I would help you gain control of yourself from this point on. I’m not asking for a “bridge”. I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t get one.

Since you have asked once again what I am seeing in your posts that I perceive as a problem, as belittling to Sarah Palin, I’ll answer once again as to what I have noticed in your posts that have concerned me. It is called “hyperbole”, just as I answered you before this. If you really do care, instead of just throwing accusations that I am not answering your question, you will go look that up and go look back at your posts. You should be able to understand at that point if you let yourself. You have to understand what hyperbole is first though, so please, just go look that up in the dictionary as I have asked you to a couple of times now, and go review your posts as I have asked you to a couple of times now, and I believe you will see how they come off that way. I can’t write every single post you have ever written for the most part on this thread; there is no need to, but you can figure out what hyperbole is and go back and look for yourself.

I don’t know how I could be any clearer than that.

As for my being respectful in yesterday’s post, I was respectful in yesterday’s post only because I took your word when you said you were the author of the article. I had decided to give you the benefit of the doubt when you told me you were the author, and I determined the tag then must simply be an issue that you were not aware of, based on that believe that you were an author for a tea-party-friendly website.

Discovering now today that your comment about being the author of the article only meant you started the thread, I have decided to maintain a respectful communication anyway, but I also have no other reason than to go back to my original perception and original assumption.

Again, I apologize for misunderstanding what you meant when you told me you wrote the article. I had assumed you were a professional writer who had written that article, and I gave you the benefit of the doubt for such.

I will not take your route here and am trying to provide respect to you even now by responding. However, just realize I’ll keep my original assumption at this point. That shouldn’t matter to you though anyway. You are free to do and say what you want here be it truth or satire, just as I am free to believe something is amiss.

I just want to point out that Dick Morris and Karl Rove have never been seen together in public.

Good point. but seriously this brings up another point

Morris and Roove are hired guns for candidates, and are undoubtedly hired RIGHT NOW for people in the race. They give advise and analize polling for them (I worked on a Congressional campaign where the candidate was talking to Morris to hire him during the primary, but he didn't have enought money to get his "help", lost the primary so that was it) You can easily tell who they are NOT getting paid by....(Palin)

this is a little fact FOX doesn't want you to know.

I see. You have every right to defend poor little "Tokyo Rove" from actual conservatives who dislike his RHINO kneecapping of Palin, but those of us who elect to argue on her behalf are just "drama queens posing for JimRob."

How uniquely clever and fair-minded of you. You really are quite the even-handed arbiter of worthy causes there, little missy. < violent gagging >

Tell me, does all that fervent cynicism fill some needful void for you, or is it gratuitous? Merely angst for angst's sake? Did you grow up hoping to star in your own daytime soap opera? That would explain you projecting your own misplaced cause celébre onto the rest of us.

I like Karl Rove. I admire how he stayed loyal no matter how he was demonized, vilified and turned into a criminal by the Left. I admire his ability to strategize and win elections.

And I like Sarah. I hope she runs, though I don't think she will. I admire her tenacious ability to do exactly what she wants to do without a family fortune or riding on her husband's coattails. And if I had a baby girl, I would only hope she would be 10% as precious as Piper.

I understand how they both feel, but wish they would take it off-line and out of the public arena where its being used, with demonic glee, by Democrats to trash them both.

What I do not understand is the constant need, in this forum, by people who say they're conservatives, to spend their days trashing, mocking and belittling other Republicans.

Sarah doesn't need your help. She's more butch than you.

That's all fine until you get to the point where you have a right to be here posting your opinion, but I don't. Despite your off-the-mark assessment, I'm one of the few guys here on FreeRepublic who Sarah couldn't kick the crap out of.

LOL

Like it or not, part of being an American is putting up with those with whom you don't agree. Of course, that line stops at lies and evil manipulation.

Peace.

Rove is one of the most “useful idiots” the left has enjoyed for undermining conservative causes and principles from “within” — it is perfectly appropriate to strongly criticize Rove’s ongoing servility to Big Media and Socialism.

And just what is his “...servility to Big Media and Socialism”? I mean besides working for FOX News after the Left nearly bankrupted him with legal costs. Your brain fart about Socialism is just too stupid to reference.

re: brain farts, wellll everything you say on this topic is pitiful, “too stupid to reference”

If you can’t understand the references then you need to engage in a serious re-examination of everything you think you “know” about Rove’s beliefs, words, and activities in relation to the course of our nation’s bloated corrupt over-spending govt. of the past decade. He’s been a key part of the problem.

In precisely the period when Republicans needed to chart a far better national course on fiscal, tax and economic issues Rove played a leading role in perpetuating the ongoing miasma of Washington, DC. If I need to explain all the problems to you then you are a part of the problem.

I don’t question that Rove was a shrewd political/campaign operative who achieved a great deal in campaign terms pre-2004, but his approaches to actual governance have frequently been disastrous and have helped to produce the corruption and stagnation of our federal govt.

I do impugn his character and motives when it comes to his vicious unwarranted personal attacks on real conservatives who do not share his devotion to vastly bloated government.

If you can’t fill in the references you aren’t capable of understanding these issues.

If you don’t understand the extent of overlap and converging purposes between RINO-Democrat devotion to a $3 trillion federal budget and what can reasonably be termed “socialism” then your knowledge is very shallow and inadequate.
