Court Denies Casey Anthony's Probation Appeal

Casey Anthony must still report to serve one year's probation in Florida, after her appeal against a judge's ruling on the matter was denied Tuesday, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Judge Belvin Perry ruled earlier in August that Anthony had until Aug. 26 to return to Florida to serve 12 months' probation for a check-fraud conviction, upholding a sentence by Judge Stan Strickland.

Her attorneys filed an appeal in Daytona Beach with Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal, arguing that she had served her probation while she was in jail awaiting her murder trial.

What’s wrong with bringing the circus back to town? That’s where the crime was committed - not in some Taliban stronghold (yet).

And, pray tell, why is Judge Perry an egomaniac for demanding her back? I think he believes she’s a guilty as hell and he wants her back for the one year he can squeeze out of that little monster. I say bravo to him.

Does Casey Anthony’s presence in Orlando benefit the city in any way? Absolutely not! It puts extra burdens on the town. She’ll require (and be given) extra security, paid for by the taxpayers.

I’ve mostly agreed with Judge Perry, especially when he refused to release the names of the jurors until after a “cooling-off” period. But I don’t think Anthony should be brought back to Orlando. Let he serve her probation elsewhere.

It benefits the city in exactly this way: People can see that even a celebrity murderess has to serve out her parole just like anyone else who wrote hot checks. It serves the city to see that she is finally forced to seek gainful employment, instead of living off her parents and society.

And so far, apparently it’s not even a circus.

Maybe you don’t mean it this way, but so far your posts sound like, Well golly gee, maybe she murdered her baby, and maybe she ripped people off, but let’s just let her go for the sake of convenience. That’s just awful. And if you don’t like being compared to a liberal, maybe you shouldn’t post like one.

I take it you live in Orlando though you haven’t posted that info. Now use some common sense. That is THE LAW. She can’t come into another state to serve her probation just ‘cause you want it.

Why don’t you get in touch with Eric Holder? Maybe he can send her to Gitmo.

Don’t know if this is hype. I also heard somewhere that Baez says Casey has been in touch with her parents and they may take her in during probation. Could have been said to keep interest up.

"We did our first vote and it came out half to acquit, half to convict," says the juror. "And we talked about it for a while, going through the evidence. I'd say that some people got intense, but there were no personal attacks, no real yelling. And we talked for a while, then it was 11-1 to acquit. And the guy who didn't want to acquit basically looked at us and said, 'O.K., whatever you all want.' He knew he wasn't going to convince us."

I vote for lazy AND stupid, just like we've been saying all along. No deductive reasoning skills at all. Plus this guy keeps saying they talked for "a while," as if it were for about an hour or so.

Personally, I hope they are miserable as a result of their incompetence and laziness. Call it karma and all that jazz.

He does seem mentally dozy. Unfortunately, the murderess got a jury of her peers.

Can't stand that bimbo...haven't watched Fox & Friends all week because she is on.

I love it! Karma has come quickly. (Rumor, be damned.)

Better lock up the knives and duct tape, George.

Seriously, do you think these creeps are angling for a reality show?

I don’t know her. Pretty bad, huh? I don’t really like Fox & Friends that much.

Classless; clueless and always sounds like she has a cold.

She shows up on many programs when the regular hosts are off.

Thought FOX had finally got rid of her as I hadn't seen her for a while, but obviously not. Need to keep the remote handy!

I’ve always noticed that there is a very inappropriate and strange ‘chemistry’ between them. It seemed to reach far beyond an attorney/client relationship.

I said the very same thing...

I agree. The stupid and lazy never think about the consequences of their actions. I hear the Bar is looking into Baez regarding the probation.

I always thought there was a good possibility she was in touch with her parents and probably brother. They are way too close mouthed.
