Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.
How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.
Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.
If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?
I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

You mean like every time Palin is brought up, call her a "quitter" and pretend like there is no context and that she is therefore disqualified from doing anything except raising funds for your fake-conservative of choice?

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons.
And that's exactly why when you try and pimp a moderate as a conservative candidate for POTUS on a website that is devoted to the conservative cause you will be rightly informed of the flaws of said candidate.
Sorry, but the truth is the truth and it shows how ill-suited Perry is, from a conservative perspective, for the job of POTUS.

Gardasil, the TT Corridor, immigration, the Algore and Rudy G. endorsements are brought up over and over in a desperate attempt to inform people that no confirmed conservative would ever have done such things! Rick Perry is a
career hack politician, not a conservative like Ronald Reagan. His ambitions have been restrained by the conservative instincts of Texans and their legislature. Once inside the Beltway, Slick Rick will do whatever it takes to prolong and expand his reign. Wake up, people!
We need a rebel, an outsider, not a sociopathic career politician to save this country. That means Herman Cain, who has never been a politician, or a citizen-politician like Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann. Those 3 are the real conservatives in this race. Do not be fooled.

I don’t have a horse in the race, yet, but I’ll put out my general positive impressions:
Palin: Charismatic, bright, beautiful, bold, did great stuff in Alaska, can take the heat, consistently pro-life.
Perry: Charismatic, tough, can dish it out, a ‘winner’ type, handled the Texas economy well.
Huntsman: I got nothin’. Don’t mean any offense.
Romney: Looks good in a suit, articulate, has an ‘heir apparent’ mantle, has the money, seems generally competent.
Ron Paul: has integrity, sound fiscal policy
That is honestly the only people I can remember who are running. Sarah actually isn’t officially running.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a candidate to support right now. The only thing I can do with the current field is spread the word about the ones who would definitely be horrible for our country. That means my efforts will focus on Perry because he is the absolute worst and one of the leading candidates.

We had Perrybots 5 or 6 years ago on here trying to CHANGE the meaning of RINO so that by the time Perry got into a major election campaign we'd all forgotten it didn't necessarily mean "Liberal".
His peeps have been preparing for this almost since they were helping out the Algore, and maybe Edwards!

Actually, you know, on the immigration issue I think that I would agree at least in part with Ms. Palin as well. After all, she did say, back in 2008, when she was asked if all illegal immigrants should be deported:
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant--there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants--not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue.
In fact, the interviewer then asked
To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?, to which Ms. Palin replied:
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.
Seems like Perry's got quite a lot in common with Ms. Palin when it comes to immigration issues.
'Course, some other folk might take that as pandering to leftists and criminals.

Some of us HAVE looked into the stories. I’m not sure who the hell I’m going to vote for.
Some repeat the same stories that they have seen through the eyes on one or two bloggers interpretations of the events.
Want to have an impact? Take your discussion outside of FR. Buy ads in newspapers and TV telling the rest of the story according to your view of the events. Write letters to the editors of your local papers.
It’s a marketplace of ideas. If you win, I’ll vote for the Republican nomination for president. I’d just like to hear something NEW.

I think what “listenhillary” is saying is instead of turning FR into a lets hate Perryfest, lets promote positive reasons that we like the other candidates.
IMHO I think we should make FR a place that says the city dog catcher is worlds above this jackass Obama.

OK, but you are NOT having any impact saying the same thing over and over on FR.
You'd be surprised at the number of different people just lurking day by day, sometimes this month, sometimes next month.
These are defficiencies in a man claiming to be a conservative who wants to be POTUS, not dog-catcher, but POTUS.
And since the Perry Apologists will make every excuse possible for Perry, it behooves those of us not wanting "Just good enough" but an actual conservative to keep posting the truth about Perry.
I understand that those who have settled for Perry, who don't care about Illegal Immigration, who don't care that he signed a Hate Crimes Bill, or Guardisil, or the TTC, who don't care that he isn't a limited-government, individual-rights conservative would get tired of having the truth posted repeatedly, but for the sake of those who haven't made their minds up, and for the sake of the truth, we will continue to post the truth where Perry is concerned.
To: Persevero
