MANKATO, Minn. (AP) Mankato police probably never expected to get a call like this.
The 911 caller said two young girls, dressed in their pajamas, were out for a walk with a goat about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The girls told the investigating officer that the goat lived in their bedroom closet and that they regularly took it out for late-night walks.

I hope the miscreants are at least cited for herding without a license.
What, no moose?
If girls at age 6 and 7 came up with the idea to steal a goat and keep it in their closet... their parents should have just a ball of fun when they hit their teens!
I didn’t realize until this summer that goats wag their tails in happiness just like dogs.
This is known in islamic circles as a foursome
“... goats wag their tails in happiness just like dogs”
I have seen goats at rural county fairs and to be honest... they are sort of like dogs IMHO. Many of the goats seemed to “like” little children and seemed to enjoy being petted. I’m wondering if the little girls thought they were “like a doggy” and decided to “keep” one as a pet?
Hmmm honey, where are our daughters?
Stories like that really get my goat.
Have you seen the fainting goats? Very unusual.
Maybe backing up...
(Gotta admit, it took me this long to figure out what that picture was).
Goat eyes give me the creeps.
I guess it never occurred to their parents to tell their daughters, "Don't steal any animals from the zoo." I'm sure I was never told that by my parents when I was their age.
I’ve seen fainting goats on Youtube but never in person. Pretty crazy! The only thing about goats that sort of creep me out are their eyes... the weird slants.
Those were two very baaad girls.
The little delinquents will probably butt heads with the law again.
But then, maybe I’m being too gruff.
I think it is a cute story. They sure did want a pet goat.
It was Bush’s fault. Him and that cursed “My Pet Goat” story.
When my two younger daughters saw a baby goat at a fair... they begged their Daddy if they could have it. We live in the Suburbs so that is completely out of the question but if we lived in a rural setting... why not? If I recall, it was a Dwarf Pygmy goat and it was CUTE!

Some farm animals can make great pets. As long as you clean up where they indiscriminately shiat.
Step sisters. This has Cinderella written all over it...
