That is so weird to comprehend as winter wetness sets in about November 15th and doesn’t let up until April or May. Of course you are much closer to the equator then us on the 41st latitude. We do plant Garlic and some onions in late October for harvest in July and early August next year. The slugs and snails eat anything else here...
We have 2 seasons in FL, Sept 15th and Jan 15th... Talk about bug and fungus problems... FL will outdo anything you have but when correct we can grow some great veggies.. They also grow some really good watermellons down here. You just have to wait for the weather to cool down so the plants can stand it..
South FL UPDATE: Went to plant a row of greenbeans last night. I had my garden rototilled last saturday 20” down and it has really been raining. 5” of rain... I took 2 steps in the garden and almost lost my rubber boots.. it’s like Quick sand out there.... The baby plants are loving it but I cant’ get in the garden to plant anything else for a few days till the garden drys out a little.. Yes we have sugar sand for our dirt....
My one healthy zucchini had blossom end rot. With nothing to lose, I gave the plant a healthy dose of this fertilizer, and (drum roll, please!) I'm getting healthy, green zucchini! Don't ask me "why?" Obviously, not heat related!
