How do I increase it by the router? I don’t drink beer lol.

You have to access your router. Try "routerlogin.com". You will need the password for the router and probably the number on the router.

Look for power setting or signal strength settings. On mine the default was 5 of 10. I left it there as that is enough.

I had a Linksys router that would let me do that.

You might also be able to select the channel the router transmits on. If you have a lot of wireless devices around you transmitting you might want to set it to a specific channel.

Your router manufacturer probably has a web page for all this info. What kind of router do you have.

My cellphone gets terrible reception when I am at home. I’ve been wondering if I couldn’t create some type of a dish or antenna of sorts that would pull in more signal and direct it to the phone.

Just installed this on the neighbor's router.

Found that the beer can needs to be on the opposite side of the antenna from my house to work better. [for me]

Also found that the SSID was stamped on the router, and the password is the serial number. Sure glad he put his router in the unlocked garage where I could get to it. He has got FIOS, so he won't miss a lick of bandwidth

Curious which model Linksys/Cisco Router that is? Reason I ask is, I just purchased a e4200V2 Linksys. DOCSIS 3. Boosted my speeds considerably. Range? Will need to determine but seems good at the ranges used. Only had it a week.

That is a 4200. I found my problem though...In the settings for the two transmitters I had power setting on “auto” for the main transmitter. My networking professional neighbor changed the setting to 40hz permanently. It made a huge difference...
