WHO WON LAST NIGHT’S DEBATE? DICK MORRIS TV: LUNCH ALERT!(Video)
Dick Morris ^ | 9/13/2011 | Dick Morris

Posted on 09/13/2011 10:02:07 AM PDT by Signalman

Dear Friend,

In this video commentary, I discuss how last night’s debate totally changed the GOP primary. A front runner was deflated, a second tier candidate came roaring back, and Newt did his thing. What will the effect be?

I don't know but Wolf Blizer lost.

It got so bad the candidates simply started ignoring his questions to answer the audience questions.

How long do we have to put up with this egomaniac Junk Media moderators?

Could we have ONE debate hosted by a rational adult like Brit Hume instead of these egomaniac clowns who keep trying to interject their own political dogmas into the debate?

Here is the net effect:

Perry goes up and Romney, Bachmann get lower. Everyone else stays about the same. This isn't rocket science.

I was upset that the TEA PARTY (???) went to CNN (of all places~!!!!!!!!!!)

But then I realized that the libtards would not see it on Fox, and the undecideds who watch CNN clearly had a chance to hear some good stuff.

I thought Perry lost for his stance on immigration and the 12 year old executive order on cervical cancer drug. I know there was an opt out but Government should not be involved in this.. I was a Perry supporter but I’m wavering now!

If you’re Dick Morris, however, you’re obviously paid for the Bachmann/Romney effort. Thus you see that Bachmann is “back”, Palin therefore can’t run, Romney did well, and Cain’s got to give his voters over to Bachmann.

That’s if you’re Dick Morris.

Blitzer keep trying to hijack the debate off the questions being asked onto his agenda based questions. He kept trying to stir up a dog fight. It was not as bad as the other debates but it was the same stupid media clown behavior.

Why does a debate need a moderator asking questions? A MUCH better debate format would have the moderator giving each candidate a turn to ask another candidate a question. Stupid questions would then reflect poorly on the candidate asking them. Oh, now I see the problem, the media would not be able to frame the debate.

I just can't see:

Moderator: "Mr. Romney, you have 30 seconds to ask Mr. Cain a question."
Mr. Romney: "Mr. Cain, I have one question for you: 'Deep dish or Pan?'"

Anybody else getting a sinking feeling that the establishment may win again and we may wind up with Willard Romney as our nominee? I know none of us will vote for him, but I know plenty of others outside of FR who would.

The only other currently declared candidate with a shot at taking him out is Perry, and the establishment is hammering away at him. They even managed to convince Bachmann to attack him from the left last night, and Palin was blasting away from the right.

For the first time, I am beginning to believe we are going to manage to screw this up and send the Kenyan back to office for a second term. If Romney manages to win the nomination, he hasn't a prayer in the general.

I disagree. I think Romney can beat Obama, assuming he attacks Barry so relentlessly that it fires up the GOP base.

Elections come down to the base, not the mushy middle, as the media tries to suggest.

Newt Gingrich won again (my opinion and I am by no means a Gingrich advocate). Ron Paul took a big hit defending, perhaps unintentionally, the attacks of our enemies. Perry and Romney, being two peas in the same pod, showed the most friction. Perry took the bigger hit of the two ... actually being boo'd at one point by the Tea Party host for his immigration stance. Bachmann might slip a bit by personalizing the Gardasil issue. Santorum should gain; he nailed his points and kept the Gardasil issue policy centered. Blitzer missed an opportunity to put the Tea Party FairTax question to Cain, and so once again Cain did well but did not excel.

Overall : Gingrich up, Paul way down, Perry and Bachmann down a little, Huntsman and Cain status quo, Santorum tiny gain (maybe), and Romney a tiny loss (maybe).

TODAY Romney cut threw the fluff.. and accused Obama of Union payback.. in South Carolina..

He must be learning from NEWT!!..
Thats the first intelligent comment heard from Myth Romney..
I say ... “God bless him”... go on the attack Myth..

Newt, Perry and Romney(NOW) are in “the GAME”...
Michele Bachmann was in the game from the “git go”...

Even Ron Paul has “posed” some very good questions..
Even though those questions are IGNORED by the rubes and RINOs..
Its true however that Ron presents his arguments like a first grader..
The U.S,, SHOULD pull back some of its military presence on this globe.. not all but some of it..

If South Korea can’t itself deal with the Norks WHO CAN!..
The U.S.. with bases beyond an embassy... in Germany is OBSCENE... same in Japan..
Japan NEEDS to handle its own “SECURITY”...

My favorite moment of the night was when Wolf asked Newt about tax breaks for "Big Oil" and Newt came back with "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were going to ask me about General Electric and the special breaks they get from the Obama administration."

That was sweet. Would have loved to see the look on Wolf's face when he realized he stepped in it big time.

You seem to have a vested interest in one of the candidates. Until the adults in the room quit choosing sides before the primaries start and instead hold ALL OF THE POWER SEEKERS to task for their past and their ideas, we are going to continue having RINOS and DONKEYS stomping all over the Constitution and our collective rights.

That was my favorite moment too.
I have posted before that I want to see Newt debating each of the Republican candidates one on one.

Would make great instructive theater, and every one of the candidates would be the better for it.

I also think it has been smart of Sarah Palin to stay out of the race for as long as she has. Perry is showing a few crony capitalism chinks (Palin’s theme ). Bachmann was good, but someone needs to show her which camera looks into the audience and viewer not the moderator.

Dick Morris is correct in stating that Michele Bachmann did well last night. Aside from being the strongest of the candidates in her opposition to Obamacare, she tore into Perry for his executive order mandating (with parental opt-out) schoolgirls in Texas to receive Guardasil vaccine to reduce their risk of cervical cancer. Bachmann not only pointed out that this was inappropriate state intrusion into the girls' parents right to make medical decisions for their daughters, but that the executive order could have been linked to a Perry campaign contribution by a former chief of staff now working as a lobbyist for Merck, Guardasil's manufacturer. So Bachmann was saying that Perry's order was tyrannical and hinted strongly that it might have been corrupt as well. A good measure of revenge for Bachmann here against Perry, who had upstaged her when he entered the primary field on the same day she won the Iowa straw poll.

A good measure of revenge for Bachmann at the Tea Party Debate against Perry, who upstaged her when he threw his hat in the ring on the same day she won the Iowa straw poll

Perry calculatedly DID NOT enter Iowa——but manipulated the vote from afar. That strategy was supposed to put him over the top. Instead he got 700-800 votes....while Iowa winners who did the right thing-—spending time and money there-—— got 4000 votes each.

The Perrydactyl's were cued to "say" Ricky won Iowa.

And there Perry was----front and center---waving to Iowans, taking pics in front of prominent Iowa banners---manipulating people to make them think he was the winner.

I won’t vote for Perry.

His lack of conservative principles is shocking as at the same time he mouths platitudes to sooth socio-religous conservatives.

He is the kind of Republican two-party businessmen love; Perry can be bought.

Gov. Perry would be just more of the same kind of politics we’ve had for years, where it is difficult to see the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

I’m looking to vote for change this coming national election.

Bachmann is a total sellout to Romney. Bachmann and Romney and others all ganged up on Perry. Why didn't Bachmann attack Romney? She's sold out to him.

Her repetitious use of the phrase, "innocent, little, 12 year old girls" got old. She is a phony and in it for what she can get out of it.

There are a heck of a lot more important issues than this one but it seems it's the one she rehearsed the most.

What are you smoking? Perry had another commitment to keep before he could enter Iowa.

He did not manipulate the vote. There was a group that was advocating a write in for him but it wasn't Perry. BTW, Palin got less than 35 write-in votes and Perry got 800.

NO one ever said Ricky won Iowa.

If you're talking about the event the day AFTER the Straw Poll, many who were there said Bachmann was late to the event and did not stay to mingle with the people--Perry did, why are you criticizing Perry for that?

Parts of your post are downright false and other parts misleading.

[Bachmann] is a phony an in it for she can get out of it.

You can criticize Bachmann as you may, but about the last thing you should call her is a phony. She's as genuine as any Washington politician can be! I can see where the "innocent, little, 12 year old girls" phrase can be mistaken as the words of a bleeding heart liberal, but what she was doing was sticking up for the constitutional rights of American citizens to make personal medical decisions for themselves and their children, rather than the state exercising authority to dictate to them in this area.

BS. She wasn't sticking up for "innocent little, 12 year old girls", she was attacking Perry and she would have used any issue she would have had to do it.

Why is it that she is now helping Romney? They're clearly in this together.

Anyone with a brain knows there are far bigger issues in this campaign than this one.
