The term ‘intelligent design’ was only coined 10 years ago. Nice try but I’m not mixing religion and science nor is the link I provided you. Whatever evidence you went over was obviously not any truly opposing and critical analysis viewpoint.

The only science I’ve seen used to support long ages evolution is geology. The other fields you listed have shown long ages evolution and long ages geology for the lie that they both are.

If one can mix a little bit of lies with the truth, and get ‘authorities’ and ‘experts’ to repeat the mantra over and over again while deriding all critics the what you end up with is a simple brain-washing technique. Furthermore it is not true science when any evidence against is discarded. Not too mention it was only in the last 200 years that governmental monies and grants were introduced in the process bringing with it corruption and bias.

The really crazy part here is how you think you can put up a wall to separate God [truth] from science [truth].

Don’t worry though I’ll quit wasting my time with you since you do not make a lick of sense.

Two serious errors.

First of all it is perfectly reasonable for a person to believe that our physical human bodies developed through material forces AND believe that we have an immaterial soul that is eternal and created by God.

Secondly there is no “upwards” direction in evolution. Increased complexity can be the result of evolution, but so can decreased complexity. There is no directionality in evolution.

It is not surprising that those who oppose evolution tend to have very little actual knowledge of the theory.

The less educated someone is, the more likely they are to be a creationist.

Good, people like you never waster their time looking for facts.

RE: The less educated someone is, the more likely they are to be a creationist.

1) What does “educated” mean in the above context?

2) If “educated” means graduating from college and getting a science degree or graduate degree ( even one in the hard sciences ), are you suggesting that there are no educated people who are creationists?

Yeah, you’d have to get the gift of true faith [notreligion.com] before you can ever begin to separate fact from fiction.

Educated means to attain a higher degree of education, i.e. a High School graduate is more educated than a High School dropout, someone with a Masters degree is more educated than someone with a High School diploma.

Are you familiar with statistical analysis? Me pointing out that the less educated someone is the more likely they are to be a creationist doesn't indicate that there are no educated creationists, just that they are harder to find than uneducated creationists.

The less educated someone is the more likely they are to be a creationist.

Creationist sources are apparently well aware of this and tailor their offerings to the appropriate education level of their intended audience.

Narrow is the way and few there be who find it.

Psalm 101:5 NIV
Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.

“The goal of this post is to elucidate why the question of origins is important within politics at all.”

The dems are thrilled about so called “conservatives” who divert the discussion thusly.

OTOH the majority of American voters will want the political disussion to focus on the economy and jobs.

RE: The less educated someone is the more likely they are to be a creationist.

Do you have a credible study on that at all? A scientific survey for instance?

otoh the majority of true christians want Americans to focus on our nations history, morals, ethics and returning to the constitution. Then the jobs and the economy will be restored by God and his provisions/blessings.

I think he meant “the more time you spend in the tutelage of secular humanist/atheists, the more likely you are to convert to their religion.”

Of course, there’s always the left’s irrefutable “argument”.
“only stupid people are Believers”

It is also quite apparent to anyone knowledgeable on the subject that the author of this tripe has no earthly idea what the theory of evolution through natural selection of genetic variation is or what it means - as evidenced by his poor command of the subject and his numerous misconceptions.

That was the context within which I brought up the fact that the less educated someone is the more likely they are to be a creationist.

It is quite apparent that the author of this article is a dolt.

And the creationist argument seems to be dependent almost entirely upon conflating acceptance of scientific theory with atheism.

Most scientists in America are people of faith in God.

Please, I want a scientific survey. From what you said, it seems that you are saying that MOST Creationist either never finished high school or just barely did. I want something concrete to buttress that claim.

Can you tell me what statement he made in the article shows him to be so?

My first post on this thread raised two objections to what he said, both of which showed he knew next to nothing about the subject and understood even less.

I think the author is refering to a particular kind of evolutionist — THE ATHEISTIC KIND, as manfested by the likes of Richard Dawkins and his buddies.

I don’t think from the tone of this writing that he is not refering to evolutinists who believe in God.
