My thoughts after a sentence or two was that the writer had to throw something together to meet a deadline.
Yep.
John Kass always tells it like it is about the Chicago-Way.
He is definitely no fan of Obama as you can see if you follow his columns.

From John Kass and the Chicago Tribune August 5, 2011.
So what do you give a beleaguered president who just ate a mess of birthday barbecue with his friends from Chicago?
Disappoint-mints.
My thought was that John Kass had to throw something together to keep his job
Who said!!?
I meant to say: “Who said the Republicans are not ready to face Obama?”
I agree 100% on Obama.
My thought after looking at your post was that someone blended the authors middle initial with his last name.
We must remember to send this article back to Mr. Kass in Nov, 2012.
They are really afraid of Perry, aren’t they? If Palin gets in they will freak out some more. Palin/Perry, or Perry /Palin...I hope they run together.
He didn’t say that. What he said is that if you supported sending anchor kids to Mexico because their parents were illegal, even though they had probably never even been to Mexico, and they WERE legal, rather than try to give them the opportunity to get an education you were heartless. Probably a little strong language, but not as bad as people have spun it to be.
.....and the GOP better find a winning candidate fast. Obama is on the ropes now, but dont count him out.
He wins again, it’s all over.
Good points!
They also say David Brooks is the ONLY Conservative at the NY Times. This Kass piece is total garbage. The fact that he dismisses Cain is proof. The GOP not ready to take on Obummer with his record? Give me a break.
But it’s not heartlessness. There’s always a conflict between standards and compassion. The majority of conservatives who disagree with Perry don’t do so because they are hearless, but becuse of the larger effect as a magnet. We’re tired of having Republicans join the Dems in playing the “heartless” card in immigration. I want to support Perry, but he needs to understand how bitter people are over this, acknowledge their concerns, and promise to enforce the current law and not to try to ram any “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” bill down the throats of the conservative base.
Kass is no friend of this administration. We have two governors who in that Florida debate exposed themselves for what hhey are . One just as willing to intrude government social behavior modification as his GOP predisessor and the other unwilling to call it socialism . Let alone unravel it.
Kass tells it like it is.
And I don’t believe he will try to ram any amnesty legislation down our throats. But, as I told a friend, he has to get elected first, to show us what he will or will not do.If we choose him, we will have to trust him,and I believe we can do that.
He doesn’t appear to be as articulate with words as Bill Clinton, does he? But we don’t want Slick Willie for president again, or the likes there of!
I’m all for forgiving gaffes such as he made. Campaigning for president has to be a tiring, and stressful job. Unless, of course one is a liar and idiot such as what we have now.....
Stopped reading at “Bush III”
I don’t use “intelligence” as the measure for our next president otherwise Newt would be my choice. However, I couldnt think if a nicer guy or someone with such as even temperament than Cain. The guy gas integrity and class.
