An even quicker way to get rid of it is to go to “View”, “Toolbars” and uncheck the “Yahoo” toolbar. This does not delete it from your computer, though. To delete it entirely, you should be able to delete it using the “Add/Remove programs” control panel.

I’m sure there are several ways to accomplish the desired goal. I offered up what I considered to be the simplest means to do so.
