Two dogs attacked a 62-year-old woman who was exercising on a track at a senior center on Long Island Thursday morning...The woman suffered serious wounds but was able to call police...
Nassau County cops responded to the area, near Brookside Junior High School in North Merrick, and found the dogs attacking the woman at the edge of a parking lot. The dogs, believed to be pit bulls, shifted their focus to the officers, who fired at them.
In a separate incident not far from this area, some dogs attacked an elderly man around 1 a.m. Authorities believe the same dogs were responsible.

If she had her own gun she wouldn’t have had to wait for the cops to shoot the dogs.
Its not their fault!
Always shoot the pit bull owner when attacked.
It’s their fault and not the dogs.
You are right. It’s the owners fault for breeding pit bulls. That doesn’t make the any less a menace. They do what they are bred to do unless you train them not to behave in that way. They are bred to be thrown into a pit with a bull and not emerge until one of them is dead. If not trained to know the difference, Gramma may as well be a Brahma.Anecdotal evidence can be put forth lauding calm gentle pits but most dog catchers I’ve spoken with [ex-wife is vet]say they’d rather the breed cease to exist. My mixed ethnic neighborhood is rife with pits and I use them for practice for moving targets when they feel froggy enough to come on my property to get my dog.Home:8 Pits:0
What do pit bull ownership, tattoos, nose rings, bad teeth, drug abuse, smoking, and public profanity all have in common?
They’re emblematic of the lower classes.
