If she were it would have leaked out.

If it had leaked out the GOP ruling class would have cut her off at the knees by now.

You don't get it. The GOP ruling class ALWAYS chooses the candidate. This time it is Milt's turn. He's one of them. He belongs to the club.

If you don't want the same old thing, DON'T DO THE SAME OLD THING.

If Palin was not going to run, she would have said so long ago. She knows that if she strings her supporters along just to let them down, she is done forever.

Just be practical about this; do you really believe she's that dumb?

If you do, then you probably believe a Tina Fey quote is the same thing as a Sarah Palin quote.

I’m going to remember this quote when she gets in or not. Either I will bump it so I can laugh at you mercilessly or I will apologize.

She’s not running. You’re going to be very disappointed.

Dude, you can’t organize a national political campaign in complete secrecy!

If Palin was not going to run, she would have said so long ago. She knows that if she strings her supporters along just to let them down, she is done forever.

First of all, citizen-politicians -- hockey moms and NASCAR dads in politics, people with lives of their own outside Washington -- aren't going to be as predictable as professional politicians who are always intent on making their way up the ladder.

That's their strength, and also their weakness. They won't force themselves on you in every election, but you won't be able to force them to run, even if you think it's essential that they do.

Second, four years is a long time -- a lifetime -- in politics. Four years from now, if she wants to run it won't matter much whether she ran this time or she didn't or whether she said right out that she wouldn't run or just let the clock run out. People will have other things to talk about.

Third, Sarah's fans are exceptionally motivated and loyal and positive about her. If you'd drop her like a brick for not running this time, there are other fans who wouldn't.

Try it out. Think of what she could say to make this all go away if she decided to run in 2016 (which she may not want to do anyway): she wanted to wait and get more perspective or to sort out her family situation, or she thought one or two of the other candidates would do just fine, or she knew she wasn't going to run but wanted to use the threat of running to keep the other candidates on the straight and narrow. That will work for a lot of people.

Some people look on her as some kind of savior. I think they go too far, but even if she does have great potential, she has to wait for her moment (assuming she actually wants that kind of role).
