Yep. The jobs could be based on people’s skill levels.
And then people with a certain bunch of skills could be hired in order they applied (within limits, of course) rather than going through an elaborate corporate hiring process that just picks the youngest, flashiest, prettiest, or cheapest employee. Perhaps companies could get some kind of tax break for setting aside a certain percentage of jobs for this pool of jobs for the unemployed.
You may have a winner here, Al. Now, how can we get this concept to Herman Cain?
Prayers up for his loved ones.
Love the idea too. I always thought job interviews should be given where the applicant is behind a wall and uses a voice changer to filter out most biases although that is for another time.
Well if you would like to make the process a bit more relevant have people take one of several standardized jobs skill tests based on the level of job they are applying for. That way employers don’t have to rely solely on phony resumes or reluctant job references to guess at people’s jobs skills.
That isn’t really true except in rare circumstances. The key is to get in front of the Judge as soon as possible, becuase the changes are not retroactive. If you wait filing papers to change support, you do so at your own cost. The first place to go after the unemployment office is the court administrator in the county with the child support order to request a suspension or reduction.
The support will be changed to reflect the new income, and may use unemployment benefits as the income basis.
There are times when the court imputes income of at least minimum wage, especially if the obligor does not prove that he has tried to get a job with sufficient effort in good faith.
Having said that, there are lost of guys, and gals, paying more than they can afford, but they need to do the right things to protect themselves. They look and look for work, but do not find any, and they are sometimes accused of not looking hard enough.
The court also assumes that the most important expenditure is the child support, so the other things in live must suffer before the children do.
It is a difficult circumstance, added on to another hard time, though, no matter how you cut it.
Maybe if we give more money to bail out the banks that will help...yeah, that’s a good idea.
instead of your idea, what about repealing all the regulations that prevent people from being creative, or hiring marginalized people.
Well just identifying all of them should put a lot of people to work for years.

You have a point.
I think what bothers me is the generation that is now suffering from the bad economy is the generation that we raised to never want for anything. They simply do not know how to cope. Sad. God always makes a way if you trust and follow where He points.
Yep. Then Obozo would be unemployed. Oh and Obozo this man’s blood is on your head! Thanks, mr. hope and change.
Watch hi tech execs, including former ones like Bill Gates,
whine about shortage of software professionals to hire,
and then refuse to hire anyone over 45, while your senator, D or R,
votes for extending the H1B program, and will do nothing
about American jobs floating to India.
And after he is dead the revenue folks will strip anything else left to pay for their crony unionized political parties.
Its time to clean up America, all of us are being called upon to figuratively walk the highways picking up the trash.
Those who don’t are either lazy or are contributors.
These over zealous child protection services are nothing but male hating druidesess out to remove the male species and everything he owns.
I know the feeling but I am not quite that desperate to take my life, my days are numbered from a higher authority.
This comment, which is routinely found on suicide stories, is flippant and despicable.
“...the gentleman must have had few expectations of being hired elsewhere...”
Believe you nailed it down. Being unemployed at the age of 51 makes a person unemployable in many instances.
This is apparently how companies do these things nowadays based on personal experience. You can go from consistently excellent ratings for years to suddenly being rated low on the totem pole and then out the door with you. That way they can claim you were let go for cause rather than due to age and you can't do much about it. This is a really sad story.
Well....I can understand why he was terminated....must of been off his medication.
