Occupy Wall Street rallies headed to Wisconsin

Local offshoots of the Occupy Wall Street demonstration that has taken over a park in New York's financial district are being organized in Wisconsin.

Participants have rallied near Wall Street for three weeks against what they perceive as corporate greed and economic inequality. A flash point sparked over the weekend when about 700 participants were arrested as they marched in vehicle travel lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Organizers in Milwaukee, Madison and Appleton are planning rallies Oct. 15 as part of an International Day of Action in support of the protests.

Organizers of the Milwaukee event plan a rally at the Chase Bank branch in downtown Milwaukee, according to Facebook page set up for the event. Those in Madison plan a rally "on or around" Oct. 15 at the State Capitol square. Both pages were linked to a site put together by organizers of the Wall Street rally that was featured in Monday's Wall Street Journal.

The Occupy Milwaukee Facebook page created a week ago had nearly 2,000 followers Monday afternoon while Madison's page had more than 2,200 followers. A page for Appleton has more than 500 followers.

Yeah, there are a lot of nuts there. But the mob mentaliti is a weird thing. It is true that you can slip ten or 15 “instigators” into a crowd of hundreds or thousands and use them as a “primer” on the bomb.

But in many cases, mom and dad have run out of money and their iPhone is the end of the line for them. That story really is playing out right now in a LOT of people’s lives.

Gotta give props to Sharif and the MJS, though, for adding the “what they perceive as” to the “corporate greed and inequality” that most MSM outlets have been parrotting.

Compared to the Tea Party rallies, these numbers are miniscule. Yet, the press coverage is wall to wall.

Hehehe. Here I am embarrassed about being a damn underemployed “statistic”.

I have always been a full timer. But the job cut hours instead of a worker, which I am happy about. Had to make many a change since.

Things do not seem to be getting any better. Coupons have become my friends.

Hot bratwurst!

I'm SO happy they're training their sights on Wisconsin to tear things apart. They're the best guys on our side.

I hope the good burghers of Wisconsin greet them with bars of surplus cheese and invite them to camp out a bit while freezing their sorry asses off in their maggot-infested sleeping bags.

Here's one of the list of demands these guys have produced.

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending “Freetrade” by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

Although I am forced to admit 10 makes sense.

Ha! We’re in the middle of a momentous convergence of sports immortality. I don’t think anybody’s going to be paying attention to these nutbags.

“They are not angry because they don’t have jobs. They are angry because, upon graduation, they will be required to get them.”

Perfectly stated. We did a LOT Of research into just ‘who’ was protesting in Madistan this past winter-into-spring.

These people are well-funded professional grifters to the Nth degree!

Gerald Celente warned “When people have lost everything and have nothing to lose, they lose it.”

Mildly interesting quote and totally irrelevant. These pampered pansies have lost nothing. They have money, homes and resources at their disposal. You have been totally sucked in by people who lie to you. Go home and educate yourself before wasting any more of other peoples' time here. "Astroturf" has real meaning. Look it up.

They got their savior Baraq.

They got Obamacare.

They got Dodd-Frank.

Isn’t the US utopia now?

Can someone explain this to me?

—These pampered pansies have lost nothing. —

Well, I agree that I am stretching the meaning of Celente’s quote a bit, but I do believe these pampered pansies have lost a lot whether they know it or not. But I think they know it.

They have lost their future. And don’t kid yourself, they have lost it. It may just be beginning to sink into their heads full of mush that there isn’t a lot to look forward to, statistically speaking, no matter how much education they get. And they are scared. And hoping to get laid at the all nighter.
