Not much going on in my garden right now. Dug the carrots last week. Still getting a few tomatoes. Green salad is just about big enough to start picking. Mostly been trying to get it cleaned up and ready for winter. Still need to set the garlic out but need to wait a couple weeks on that.

Mmmmmm candied jalapeno slices do you just use sugar and water to make a simple syrup and can them? Wondering if I can use the many of jalapeno's I have frozen whole over the summer?

Recipe?

For the candied jalapenos I use basically the same syrup that I make for my spicy sweet pickles. Don't know if previously frozen peppers will turn out the same, but you aren't going to lose anything by giving it a try with a jar.

I'll get the recipe posted today.

Forgot ... it’s sugar and vinegar, not water.

I got my potatoes out of the sun and put into the storage shed in wheelbarrows. Still have to move them to slotted laundry baskets. I got about a gallon of large marble size that Lady Bender will boil and we’ll eat them warm with butter and salt & pepper. Not getting much else done as our son is in Vegas for a Boys & Girls meeting on fundraising etc and I am filling in for him at work. He is president of the local chapter and all non-profits are struggling, (some can continue to struggle) but there are some worthy ones.
