Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich got worked up when asked about the Occupy Wall Street protests at last night's Bloomberg-Washington Post debate.
Gingrich first sought to tie the protests to "left-wing agitators" before calling for the firing of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.
He then doubled down, calling on former Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank to be thrown in jail, not anyone on Wall Street. Asked if he actually meant for them to do prison time, Gingrich said he did, alluding to past ethical scandals.

You won't believe how little I care what Newt Gingrich thinks or says.
Obviously, not all is forgiven and certainly not forgotten, but the country needs exactly what he offered up in his debate answer. That was magnificent.

Another fraud is this cartoon character known as Max Keiser. His Russian parents clearly taught him the tactic of disinformation. He has a lot of people fooled and is followed by mostly over-heated cranks, but his apoplectic opinions seem to get into the media in this age of "viral" soundbites.

But Newt still has to renounce Corn Ethanol subsidies. Has done Paid commercial spots supporting Corn Ethanol.
I am tired of giving up 5 mpg or more so that my tax dollars can boost the bottom line of ADM.
I was very impressed with Gingrich in this and previous debates.

I agree with Newt, but Why is no one talking about Frank Raines and Johnson from Fannie and Freddie? How do you cook the books for over 5 years and put taxpayers on the hook for $TRILLIONS, and not go to jail? Enron cooked the books for $billions and they went to jail? Rains and Johnson went to Obama’s economic team and kept their golden parachutes and Madoff went to jail, what’s fair about that? They cooked the books, and we know they cooked the books, and yet they walk away with the money. If it were guns they could call it “Fast and Furious”.

I used to think and say exactly this way myself. However, it’s slim pickins and Newt is shining throughout...certainly in the debates.
Can’t explain how or why, but I see Newt as a good VP, vs. Pres.
Cain for President. Good team, I think.
Anybody else notice the applause meter consistently went to Newt last night?
Finally, a politician who understands what really happened in the “financial crisis” and who has the courage to recommend prosecuting some of the people who caused it.
I am sure no other politician will publicly support Newt's proposal.
Cain will not pick Newt for VP because they are fromt he same state. Cain needs to pick someone who can help him carry a swing state.

Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are every bit as “Wall-Streeted-Up” as the greediest banker on Wall Street. They are also almost certainly guilty of financial malfeasance and corruption on an almost incomprehensible scale - using TAXPAYER money.
So, yes, they SHOULD be tried, convicted and thrown in prison — along with anyone and everyone in the government and private sectors who conspired and/or collaborated with them.
