The Mormons were at the front of the march against gay marriage in California, financing practically the whole thing,
______________________________________________

They sure found themselves a look-over-there event to crash and take over when Romney dropped out and they no longer had a candidate running didnt they ???

Something that would keep them too busy to support the apostate GOP nominee for POTUS

and that WOMAN too (Mormons are against women in any kind of leadership role)

Since you mention marching when was the last time a Mormon marched against ABORTION, or gave money to other than Planned Parenthood as the Romneys did or spoke out against abortion ???

Ill save you the embarassment

They dont usually...

Romney said this week that he is not against homosexual/gay relationships and that equals “marriage”

Thank you! It’s not intolerant to have a religious discussion, or to express disagreement with someone’s religious beliefs. Saying otherwise is liberal wishy-washy “tolerance” nonsense, and it doesn’t belong on FR.

It would have been sorta stupid for him to say he was against any kind of "relationship", but pretending that equals his support for gay marriage is a lie.

I'll support whoever is nominated and I don't care who you vote for, but its clear you're incapable of using anything resembling honesty to make your arguments.

(and, that God literally had sex with Mary)”

For God’s sake, would you knock off this stupid drivel.

It is very telling how the anti Mormons think they know what we believe.

Go to www.lds.org or www.mormon.org - that’s what we believe, not what you think we believe. Lord have mercy!

I have a friend from childhood who married a Morman. He also was a childhood friend. She was her parents only daughter. They got married in the Temple in Utah. Her parents could not attend. She never told what her marriage ceremony was like. They are both very nice people and have a wonderful family. But I agree and the Founders of Mormanism would demand that they are NOT Christian in any traditional understanding of the meaning. Christianity is the USA in very shallow. Most have no idea about their faith except Christmas and Easter service and that involves Santa and eggs.

Blah blah blah. I am sick of the anti Mormon drivel. Jesus Christ is my Savior; He is my Judge and my Advocate with the Father. Thank God Almighty you are not my Judge.

Remarkable isn't it Elendur - for a 'church' that boasts it has a living prophet that will never lead them astray - when the rubber hits the road, that is not the only thing under the bus. Guess you think smith taught worthless drivel - well I can agree with you on that point SD.

Reformationfan - most mormons here are inept in regards to comparison of mormon to Christian theology - in part because their theology is so grossly confused to begin with, but further the brainwashing that the Christian theology is apostate to begin with.

SD - Jesus may be your judge and advocate with the father, but if you fail to do everything possible to work out your salvation - you’ll be tough out of luck according to mormon doctrine - need I cite mormon scriptures on that? And which or the mormon ‘gods’ is “almighty”?

SD have you forgotten “the prophet” ???

Joey Smith is the judge of the Mormons...

On October 9, 1859, Brigham Young said,
“From the day that the Priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding-up scene of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are — I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent”
(Journal of Discourses 7:289).

“If we get our salvation, we shall have to pass by him [Joseph Smith]; if we enter our glory, it will be through the authority he has received. We cannot get around him [Joseph Smith]”
- (as quoted in 1988 Melchizedek Priesthood Study Guide, p. 142)

“I tell you, Joseph holds the keys, and none of us can get into the celestial kingdom without passing by him. We have not got rid of him, but he stands there as the sentinel, holding the keys of the kingdom of God; and there are many of them beside him. I tell you, if we get past those who have mingled with us, and know us best, and have a right to know us best, probably we can pass all other sentinels as far as it is necessary, or as far as we may desire. But I tell you, the pinch will be with those that have mingled with us, stood next to us, weighed our spirits, tried us, and proven us: there will be a pinch, in my view, to get past them. The others, perhaps, will say, If brother Joseph is satisfied with you, you may pass. If it is all right with him, it is all right with me. Then if Joseph shall say to a man, or if brother Brigham say to a man, I forgive you your sins, “Whosoever sins ye remit they are remitted unto them;” if you who have suffered and felt the weight of transgression—if you have generosity enough to forgive the sinner, I will forgive him: you cannot have more generosity than I have. I have given you power to forgive sins, and when the Lord gives a gift, he does not take it back again.”
- Orson Hyde, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p.154-155

...to get by Joseph Smith...

They succeeded in killing Joseph, but he had finished his work.
He was a servant of God, and gave us the Book of Mormon.
He said the Bible was right in the main, but, through the translators and others, many precious portions were suppressed, and several other portions were wrongly translated; and now his testimony is in force, for he has sealed it with his blood.
As I have frequently told them, no man in this dispensation will enter the courts of heaven, without the approbation of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jun.
Who has made this so?
Have I?
Have this people?
Have the world?
No; but the Lord Jehovah has decreed it.
If I ever pass into the heavenly courts, it will be by the consent of the Prophet Joseph.
If you ever pass through the gates into the Holy City, you will do so upon his certificate that you are worthy to pass.
Can you pass without his inspection?
No; neither can any person in this dispensation, which is the dispensation of the fulness of times.
In this generation, and in all the generations that are to come, everyone will have to undergo the scrutiny of this Prophet.
They say that they killed Joseph, and they will yet come with their hats under their arms and bend to him; but what good will it do them, unless they repent?
They can come in a certain way and find favor, but will they?

Oh dear...

Well if you dont like being attacked by other Catholics you wont like what the Mormons do to Catholics...

Mormons Dead Dunk Catholics
The Vatican objects to the Mormons practice of using the information from the records to do posthumous rebaptisms.

A January 29, 2008 letter from the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith expressed “grave reservations”. The April 5, 2008 letter was from the Vatican Congregation for Clergy. Both are legitimate groups with in the Catholic Church. Jewish leaders also consider this practice to be disrespectful to the dead.

In 2001, the Catholic Church published a document stating that it does not consider any baptisms by Latter-day Saints to be valid.

Gilberto,
Here is the official stance on the LDS records. Hopefully
will answer your questions:

Vatican Orders Records Withheld from Mormons
The Catholic News Service has published an article about new Vatican orders to not cooperate with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the microfilming of records. The Vatican wishes to block posthumous rebaptisms by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a practice that Catholics, Jews, and some others find objectionable.

Catholic dioceses throughout the world have been directed by the Vatican not to give information in parish registers to the Mormons’ Genealogical Society of Utah.
An April 5 letter from the Vatican Congregation for Clergy, obtained by Catholic News Service in late April, asks episcopal conferences to direct all bishops to keep the Latter-day Saints from microfilming and digitizing information contained in those registers.

The order came in light of “grave reservations” expressed in a January 29 letter from the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the clergy congregation’s letter said.

Oh, please. I know all about religious bigotry. I’m talking to individual Mormons who are decent people. And a lot of us Catholics are “dead drunk.” Lots of us are Irish, you know!

And to all you humorless types: that was a joke.

The author, who herself was married in a Mormon temple at age 19 but now considers herself a non-denominational Christian, says there’s a secret agenda Mormon officials don’t like to talk about publicly.

“A complete takeover of the government,” she said. “They have more people in the CIA, the FBI. They have an employment office for Mormons in D.C. to be able to infiltrate them into the government.”

I have seen boasts on FR regarding the unusual number of mormons in the federal government.

“They’ve been trying since the beginning to get someone in the presidency, because they believe they have to establish their authority so when Jesus comes to Earth, the Mormon Church will take control of the government and the Mormons will be the government of God on Earth,” she continued.

The Millennium LDS.org"

People on the Earth during the Millennium

A thousand years of peace, love, and joy will begin on the earth at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This thousand-year period is called the Millennium. The scriptures and the prophets help us understand what it will be like to live on the earth during the Millennium.

For teachers: The subject of the Millennium sometimes leads people to speculate about ideas that are not found in the scriptures or the teachings of latter-day prophets. As you guide this lesson, be careful to avoid such speculation.

Because of the destruction of the wicked at the Savior’s Second Coming, only righteous people will live on the earth at the beginning of the Millennium. They will be those who have lived virtuous and honest lives. These people will inherit either the terrestrial or celestial kingdom.

During the Millennium, mortals will still live on earth, and they will continue to have children as we do now (see D&C 45:58). Joseph Smith said that immortal beings will frequently visit the earth. These resurrected beings will help with the government and other work. (See Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, sel. Joseph Fielding Smith [1976], 268.)

People will still have their agency, and for a time many will be free to continue with their religions and ideas. Eventually everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is the Savior.

During the Millennium, Jesus will “reign personally upon the earth” (Articles of Faith 1:10). Joseph Smith explained that Jesus will “reign over the Saints and come down and instruct” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 258).

The Work of the Church during the Millennium

There will be two great works for members of the Church during the Millennium: temple work and missionary work. Temple work involves the ordinances that are necessary for exaltation. These include baptism, the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost, and the temple ordinances—the endowment, temple marriage, and the sealing together of family units.

Many people have died without receiving these ordinances. People on the earth must perform these ordinances for them. This work is now being done in the temples of the Lord. There is too much work to finish before the Millennium begins, so it will be completed during that time. Resurrected beings will help us correct the mistakes we have made in doing research concerning our dead ancestors. They will also help us find the information we need to complete our records. (See Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 2:167, 251–52.)

The other great work during the Millennium will be missionary work. The gospel will be taught with great power to all people. Eventually there will be no need to teach others the first principles of the gospel because “they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord” (Jeremiah 31:34).
