A new D.C. program that teaches job-seeking skills to transgender people and then pays some of their salaries for up to six months was fast-tracked by Mayor Vincent Gray after violence against transsexuals escalated this summer.
The program is run through Project Empowerment, an $11 million-a-year program paid for with D.C. tax dollars that helps hard-to-employ city residents such as ex-convicts and ex-addicts find work. Project Empowerment is a decade old, but Director Charles Jones said only four transgender individuals had enrolled before a class was formed specifically for them.
In July, the District saw two shootings within 11 days, prompting a meeting in August between the mayor and transgender activists. Weeks later, the plan was finalized to enroll a transgender class at Project Empowerment and work with local organizations to help recruit students.
The goal is to show the community D.C.'s resources are available to them too, Jones said. A second transgender-only class may be in the works for February.

I know what they mean when they say that “trans” “women” put themselves at risk. Some have worked as prostitutes, and some men become violent when they learn these “trans” people were not born female.

So mentally ill sex pervert transgenders" deserve tax money to pay their salaries because people don't want to hire them. Because they gross normal people out. They chose to mutliate their bodies and become sick hideous perverted freaks, they have to pay the price of being unattractive employees. Somehow they found a lot of money for all the surgery, hormones etc. Probably the "violence" was when they prostituted themselves and the johns found out they weren't real women. Dark, ugly and sickening.
now they move to the cross dressers and then it will be lower the sex age limit and then it will be let men have sex with boys.
If everyone spoke up and fought back against shows like dances with stars with Bono on there then we would drive their agenda back.
Issues like this show why we cannot allow Romney to win. We need a proper conservative on social issues not some half baked on.
