>>> Also these debate forums suck. >>>

Which is why I think Newt gets the win tonight at the very end, when he basically said as much, and said he would debate Obama in the old style - two men, no moderators.

I would pay to see that BTW.

If winning means coming away with more support than you went in with - Herman Cain won, absolutely.

If winning means being the smartest and cleverest - Newt won.

If losing means demeaning yourself by quibbling over trivia and minutia, being argumentative and petty - Romney, Santorum, and Perry lost.

If losing means seeing a couple of your opponents make fools of themselves acting like petty prima donnas - then Obama won.

doesnt it seem like there are too many debates, the campaign season is too long and this is easy to get tired of.

Newt/Cain tied.
I like a Cain or Newt/Bolton ticket!

Cain got creamed on 9-9-9. He needs to just go with a flat tax and walk away from that. In German, it would be nein! nein! nein!

Perry and Mitt were pissy little grade-schoolers. Both lost.

Newt won again with sound reason and devastatingly incisive phrases.

Bachmann convinced me that we need a Secretary of the Border, and she should be IT.

Why would anyone want to watch a “debate” moderated by Anderson Cooper on CNN?

Who on EARTH agreed to this repeated nonsense? The RNC?

Looks like a tie between Cain and Gingrich.

"Also these debate forums suck."

I refer to them as "target practice/range time" for the lame stream media.

I think it was overall a draw.

Except for Ron Paul, all of they each made some excellent points. It probably will not have a major impact. CNN sure was gunning for Mitt Romney to appear as the "yokozuna" (top dog), though--that much is clear. Hey, they have their agenda. I know for sure they want him matched against Obongo and want guys like Cain or Gingrich or Santorum now where NEAR that nomination. Paul for them is a freak show for viewership ratings..

It is clear as the clock I see on this wall here about CNN. Nobody fools me with their CRAP.

PS I would not be objective, but I think Cain did very well tonight. He looked the most presidential and accepted responsibility and sucked it up when he had too, but also stood his ground when everyone thought he might back down. He pivoted well, and got out of a lot of potential headlocks. He tired a bit at the end. Gingrich a close second--his personal baggage notwithstanding, he is an eloquent man that stays on message and keeps the anti-Obama drumbeat going which we need before such a large live national audience.

Newt was The clear winner and the only adult in the room. Perry imploded. Romney sounded great but we know better. Time for Santorum, Bachman, and Paul to go home. Huntsman was not missed.

Of all things Perry could have attacked Romney on, he chose immigration... and over an event that was so frivolous and defendable that Perry came out looking like the biggest hypocrite since Bill Clinton... I was extremely embarrassing to me as a republican.... and then getting into an interruption match to boot...

Perry is toast.

Newt clearly outshone everyone on stage, and at the very least guaranteed himself a seat in a Cain administration.
(VP if he wasn’t from GA)
Newt is a player... his campaign is broke... he knows that Cain is going to run with this thing.

I just loved the way he defended Cain and so respectfully made a good case against the NST in favor of his own ideas.

yeah... Newt won... but it won’t be enough to move him up in the polls or out of debt.

I am wondering why people think this is a true debate when the moderation is controlled by the Left?

Just an observation; Newt would fold like a house of cards if Obama got personal with him and we all know Obama would.
