Parked in front of an eatery in Virginia ... a $150K Porsche GT3...I couldn't believe it...

Electric Boat General Dynamics in Groton Ct used to tape the hull penetrations with “3m” Duct Tape when they removed something, we called it EB Green. One of the subs they were building didn’t detect the hull taped opening before sea trials and dove to test depth with no leaks on the tape. 440 lbs/sq/in and it held. Good stuff. Lasts forever.

Funny enough, I've heard that same story from three different bubbleheads over the course of the last 20 years. Came up when I mentioned to them my dear, lamented and very much purloined roll of EB Green ... that my Mom threw out while cleaning my room when I was off at college.

Each one, of course, claimed it happened on HIS boat.

Oh! That just reminded me, I need black duct tape for my bike seat. It’s a really comfortable jell seat but split on the top. The grey duct tape looks pretty tacky. LOL (But hey, it works and will save me $50 or so for a while!)

The only 2 tools you need are WD-40 and duct tape. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.

Now that totally nails it!

Yellow tape would have been stronger than the original plane.

Andrew is really enjoying life at Sandia. It’s just me and purchasing dude in the hall now.

I had a large roll-around suitcase similar to that.

It ended up having a slit in it all the way down one side (I think a European baggage handler slit into it with a knife).

I taped the whole side up with duct tape and used that soft-sided suitcase for another 12 years (still have it).

Since everyone has black roll-around suitcases these days, the duct tape made it much easier to identify on the baggage claim carousel!

It seems to me that the ground crew was using the tape to protect a fresh caulking job.

Besides i don’t believe a pilot would be sucked out of a broken windshield.
8 pounds of inner pressure versus 500 MPH head on wind?Thinner air or not...
I dunno.

I went camping a few years ago with some buds and it was pouring rain all night.
I was soaking wet and could not wait to get into my dry tent, put on some dry clothes and sleep on my brand new queen sized air mattress.

Well i finally got into my dry tent and put on dry clothes then i accidentally tipped my Coleman lantern onto my brand new air mattress and burned a giant hole in it.
I was freaking out pissed!

Then i realized i had Marks roll of duct tape in the tent i had used to fix a small hole in the floor earlier that day.
Well, i then spent around a half hour Duct taping the gapping hole then blew it up again.
Ya know what? it held all night, the mattress was a bit lower in the morning but i was still off the ground.

Red Green was right, Duct tape IS the handy man’s secret weapon.

Great story. I have taped my pant legs to my boots with duct tape. This will helped from getting bites from ticks, flies, and mosquitoes.

Lest we forget Kentucky's infamous duct tape bandit?

Duct Tape Bandit Robs Liquor Store
Posted: 3:40 PM Aug 13, 2007
Reporter: Doug Korstanje

Robbery is a serious problem for retail stores across our region. But the employees of Shamrock Liquors in Ashland, Kentucky, can't stop laughing about what happened last Friday at the store along 13th street.

Police say Kasey Kazee walked in to the store with duct tape wrapped around his head to conceal his face.

Fortunately, store manager Bill Steele had some duct tape of his own. Steel had a wooden club wrapped with duct tape that eventually sent the suspect fleeing the store.

Duct tape IS the force! Combine it with WD-40, and there is no stopping us!

And, to think that my American flight was cancelled because of a broken windshield wiper...
