LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A shoplifting incident led to a shooting at a Walmart, according to police dispatchers.
The shooting happened at the Walmart at 7100 Raggard Road.
Police said off-duty Jefferson County constable David Whitlaw was shopping at the store around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when he heard there was a shoplifting suspect outside the store in the parking lot.
Police said Whitlaw went to the parking lot, where the female suspect was in a car.
Police said she ran over Whitlaw's foot, and he in turn fired a shot into the car, wounding the woman in her arm and hand.
WLKY called the Walmart, and a manger said the store is open for business.

That’ll learn her.
Most shoplifting suspects couldn’t hit the broad side of a Walmart
It’s a good thing that the lady who ate the sandwich in that store the other day didn’t do it at Walmart.
Good. Bet she listens and stops next time she is caught shoplifting!
