For all practical purposes, Justice Thomas was in a court room. The purpose of Senate confirmation hearings is to decide whether or not a nominee should be confirmed. The confirmation vote is essentially a verdict. The Senate found Justice Thomas “not guilty” by confirming him.

Presumption of innocence is a legal term.
You cannot apply it to human nature.
What the left is doing goes far beyond determining guilt or innocence. The affects of these high-tech lynchings go beyond vetting the candidate for office. The media has effectively derailed Cain’s message by associating his name with sexual harassment, regardless of the truth.
We have no laws to prevent the media from doing this.
There is no way to defend against such claims in the public’s eye.
Cain’s only defense is to go on offense.
The enemy’s tactic WILL WORK given time.
It’s allready working at levels that are undetectable by current polls and contributions.
The only plus side to this is that it is bringing him name recognition that he would not otherwise be getting.
If you repeat a lie often enough, it eventually will become the truth in the public court of opinion.
Just heard a brief news report where Gloria Allred was referred to as a “High Profile Attorney”.... while dogging Cain as unable to shake the “controversy”... lol.
The “controversy” has been unable to to shake Cain is more like it. Unfortunately, the lies keep coming like a swarm of fire ants attacking an armadillo. Eventually, the armadillo loses.
