Quite a contrast between Packers/Chargers and Ravens/Steelers.

If Greece had been the least bit cheesparing, they wouldn’t be in the fix they are in now. But it’s always, “Feta, feta, feta!” (use your “marcia, marcia, marcia” jan brady voice there, please.)

This chick definitely sounds kind of sketchy.

Did you see Herman on Jimmy Kimmel? I was practically cheering by the end of it. Herman doesn’t act like a man with something to hide.

My only fear is that when I watched the Bill Clinton finger-wagging, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky!”....despite my dislike of Clinton, I really hoped he was telling the truth, because I couldn’t stand the idea of anyone lying so vociferously. I really want Cain to be telling the truth.

Because I really want to be celebrating President-Elect Cain next year. Really, really.

It’s slang for having one’s feelings hurt.

it did occur to me when hearing this that a man who had this kind of stuff hanging out there would not run for ofc, but then there are egos that think they can somehow overcome it. I don’t see him as one with an ego thinking he can overcome it. I think he knew he would get hit with crap, but had no idea how hard, how deep and how fast it would come.

i have never heard that phrase. is it like when you smack a toddler’s diaper-padded behind and they start bawling, not because it hurt but bc their feelings were hurt?

I am waiting for his press conference.

Unfortunately, and I don’t necessarily believe this of Cain, yet, it takes a certain ego to run for office, a narcissism that people will love you, and I think that pervades their entire lives. Witness our favorite glam boy-toy, Weiner, that Craig guy, for the love of all that’s holy, John Freaking Edwards....gack, how could HE think he was sexy??? The script just keeps replaying with different leading men.

So you would think that if you had anything to hide, you wouldn’t run and put yourself out there, but doofuses will be doofuses.

And doofuses believe that all chicks want their bods, and don’t perceive that any advances might be unwelcome. Capisci?

Thanks for taking that in the spirit in which it was given. I hope Cain isn’t one of these guys.

Cheeseparing. That sounds like the name of a famous old English Estate, you know, Cheeseparing Manor, hard by the river Crust SW.
It was here that the Earl of Sandwich lived and made a lot of bread.

oh and i inadvertantly got to confront an obama voter about her vote yesterday. i was in the pick up line to get xsjr from school, two moms were out there soliciting people to come to their $raiser silent auction dealie this week. The one said to me, oh i like your Choose Life license plate! she said she doesn’t have one, but has something similar. I didn’t know this woman from a hole in the ground but we proceeded down a political conversational path. She said her son that graduated last year was very conservative but she herself was more moderate. She said she actually voted for obams. i said, oh and how do you think that worked out? can’t recall what she said, but she admitted he was a disaster. she said she LOVED mccain, but was terrified of Sarah Palin. I said, SP was a VICEpresidential candidate, and obams had ZERO experience other than community organizing and you voted him into ofc. She said well i thought we needed someone REALLY SMART bc we were involved in two wars yada yada. I said, oh yeah, look how smart he turned out to be, he can’t grip his own behind with both hands. She admitted that the teleprompter bit has convinced her he’s not all that he’s cracked up to be. So then i got her on the catholic angle [recall she began by complimenting the prolife license plate] and said i couldn’t understand how someone claiming to be prolife and catholic could have voted for him, and she said well yes, it’s a DIFFICULT ISSUE [prolife my behind!] She said she could def vote for MITT ROMNEY, but never Herman Cain. i said, why? bc of the sexual harasmment charges? she said, yes, but not entirely. And that as a longtime fedgov employee she knows that stuff goes on all the time. My eyes rolled out of my head at that point. This was all in the span of maybe 15 min, i can’t even recall all we said, but i was slapping her flat at every twist and turn in the conversation. so yeah, i was making friends and influencing people! SHE doesn’t think obams can be re-elected, said that even her “lefty” friends who are fedgov, can’t handle the incompetence of his appointees/staff. She’s apparently with EPA/Dept of Interior.

Ack. I don’t have that much patience. I think people got caught up in the feel-good idea of Obama.

WTF with the two wars crap? I am so tired of it. People forget that Mohammad Atta was seen meeting with an Iraqi agent in Prague. I don’t recall that ever being disproved.

Well, you can tell your new friend that if I were elected President, I’d put this country back in the fiscal black.

FIRST of all I’d cancel the EPA and repeal all of their rules and SECONDLY I’d disband the DOE and send the power to educate back to the people. Of course all of the czars will be sent home without any pension, or severance, payments. Do czars get to claim unemployment for 99 weeks?

The next line she’ll be standing in is the unemployment line just because of her stupidity. Then, after we trim expenses from all the rest of the government — minimum 20% cut from every department — I’d start paying down our debts.

White House entertainments can be BYOB and pot luck, for a start. Let them live like the rest of us do.

It must be the season for stupid people. My husband and I ran into one at dinner last night. He claimed to be a Libertarian and he thought that Clinton was the smartest President we ever had. I let my husband handle him. We did educate him a bit about the oil business and oil supply, however.
