Canada's Loch Ness Monster Caught on Tape?

A possible sighting of Canada’s version of the Loch Ness monster at a lake in British Columbia has stirred up the legend of the sea creature long-rumored to reside there.

A man visiting British Colombia’s Lake Okanagan claims he filmed video of what could only be the elusive monster, known to locals as Ogopogo. The 30-second video shows two long ripples in the water in a seemingly deserted area of the lake.

“It was not going with the waves,” Richard Huls, who captured the scene on camera during a visit to a local winery, told the Vancouver Sun. “It was not a wave, obviously, just a darker color. The size and the fact that they were not parallel with the waves made me think it had to be something else.”

The best part about this exciting new footage is that modern, quality video is sooooo much better than the old crap. /s

30 seconds of shaky, often blurry video just doesn’t cut it. The short length of time and the shakiness just doesn’t let you get a frame of reference for the darker linear feature’s alignment or motion. While I’m always hoping for good proof of these creatures (I think all of these stories may have an actual creature at their roots) - i don’t think this video is it! (They look like waves to me - a wake from a boat from across the lake interacting with the nearby shoreline).

can recall going to Ogopogo land several times when the kids were young....

btw...for those who don't know...this is the western side of the Rockies...just west of Banff...its called the banana belt and has beautiful beaches with warm water, winneries, and generally very pretty...not like the high mountains of Banff and Jasper, but very beautiful in its own way...

As shaky as the cameera was, and the guy’s interpretation of things, I imagine it wasn’t so much the scotch tape - but just the scotch.
